Captain Marvel.

I am not up on the comic book stuff(you can undiagnose me now :D ) but it provided a decent nights fun entertainment. A good "popcorn" movie.

I saw Weathering With You. I thought it was one of Shinkai's weakest films, with a severe lack of focus. The story is excessively complicated, overstuffed with extraneous details given that in the end it's really just a simple romance. For me it was one of those cases where having the director remember that sometimes 'less is more' would've been beneficial. It was exceptionally pretty though, like all Shinkai films.

The Fanatic
The Dead Don't Die ( meta humour at it's finest in my opinion )
X-Men Dark Phoenix
Godzilla King Of Monsters
Alita Battle Angel

Toc Toc. A Spanish film on netflix. The characters have different disorders like OCD, Tourette's and are waiting to see a renowned therapist. The twist is that they were all accidentally booked for the same appointment time and they must wait for hours for the therapist to arrive because the therapist's flight was delayed.

I liked it very much and would recommend it.

My girlfriend wanted to see It: Chapter 2 as much as I did, so we went to a pub near my house that was showing It: Chapter 2 and we managed to sit through It: Chapter 2 just fine relatively speaking.

In fact, we had to step out of the auditorium a few times just to use the restroom and/or buy ourselves drinks.

Great chemistry between James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain with great scene-stealing by Bill Hader.

The Fanatic - It was based on a true story but unfortunately the protagonist ( played by John Travolta ) appears autistic which made the film painful watching. It was sad watching a misunderstood man meltdown and not understand the rules .

X-Men Dark Phoenix - Standard X-Men fair , entertaining although a little confusing when you try to link all the films timelines.

Godzilla King Of Monsters - Entertaining enough to recommend just for the monster scenes

Alita Battle Angel - Very enjoyable action movie ( definitely watch on the big screen if possible )

The Dead Don't Die.

Hilarious horror/comedy satire of b grade zombie movies. Great deadpan humor with Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Tom Waites, and others.

This is a good one. Tilda Swinton as a Scottish thing with a katana was amazing.
