Midsommar. It was really unsettling but the feeling of trauma was expressed so well. Ari Aster's movies are always so creepy.

Do I want to watch The Changeling, or The Blair Witch Project?

I've never seen either.

Recommendations welcome.

I have not seen the Changeling but the original (old) Blair witch was good in my opinion.

Walken interview from '79.......

For sure Bruce Lee wouldve done a buddy movie like Rush Hour , in fact he was gonna play a DEA cop opposite Loren in Rome & produced by Ponti but sadly he died before it could be realized.....then you have the van Cleef/Lo Lieh western team up , produced by Ponti....yrs before Rush Hour films

In the Tall Grass. It was all right. There's one thing that bothers me, not sure if it's a continuity error or just a part that wasn't explained or I didn't catch the explanation for, but I don't want to spoil the movie.

Thanks, April! I'm watching The Changeling now. I'll do Blair Witch another day soon!

Update: It's happened again. I have no idea what's happening in this movie and I've given up trying to recognise characters. I really can't follow movies. :(

Charlie Bubbles (1968)

Sometimes portrayed as a 'comedy', though also contains many dark elements, but 'dark comedy' doesn't really describe it either. Undoubtedly a 'cult film' of sorts. Starring Albert Finney, and also directed by him, it is perhaps inevitably a bit self-indulgent. Also features a young Liza Minnelli in an early role as Finney's secretary/lover (she still calls him 'Mr Bubbles' though). Some very striking shots of Salford (part of Manchester), during the slum clearances which dramatically changed its appearance in this period.

The whole film was on YouTube a few months ago, but now only a few clips and trailers seem to be left:

Joker.

Great film, and a whole new origin story about Batman's arch nemesis; in fact it practically fits the bill for a horror film. Only one criticism: I can't believe Joaquin Phoenix is supposed to be thirty years old.

Closer It's a film about Joy Division centered around the lead singer and songwriter Ian Curtis' short life. As a Joy Division fan, I found it to be worth watching. I think most anyone would find it interesting.

It's quite accurate. It details Ian's marriage to Debbie and the problems they face as well as his relationship with Annik. It details how the band formed and got signed by Tony Wilson. It also details Ian's time working the government job. The film is entirely in black and white and it's got a stark emptiness to it which I think fits.

Spiderman: Homecoming.

Already saw it at the theater, but as I got it as my wife's birthday present, we watched it together after we came back from Joker and dinner.

Halloween.

What was up with that guy? Why was he hurting everyone? Again, I was face blind and couldn't keep track of the plot.

^ Was it the 1978 version ? ( best Halloween film ).

"Michael Myers ( guy in mask ) is motivated by a combination of neglect and sexual jealousy."

Some theories suggest he was autistic

in Rob Zombie’s remake, Myers was schizophrenic.

Yes. 1978 with Jamie Lee Curtis. She's the only character I recognised. I'm so bad at movies, I thought the little boy who she babysat killed his older sister in Scene 1. It turns out she wasn't even his sister. I lost track of who lives in which house or is the sibling of someone else, although I'm sure that doesn't matter much.

The bad guy seemed to be triggered by sexual rage. Are there more Halloween films?
