I saw Go!Azen a few days ago, the first ever musical film in Basque (it came out in 2008). 8) I couldn't understand much, but it was great. :D It's about some kids that go to a summer camp, and sing and dance and stuff.

We just watched Robin Hood on DVD. You can't go wrong with sword fighting galore. But as a guy who graduated college with a BA in history, the ahistorical stuff, such as the French conspiracy to assassinate Richard the Lion hearted, and the following French invasion of England - NONE OF WHICH HAPPENED - just got my goat.
Still, the sword fighting was so good, I almost overlooked the inaccuracies - almost.

I just watched Machete. It was cheap, gory and so politically incorrect, but I loved it! :D
In one scene Machete rips out someone's intestines and uses them to rappel down a building!

God, the stuff I watch...

I hate when movies! I also hate when they do a remake, and it barely even resembles the original. Like the most recent I Am Legend, people should read the book and see how different they are. And I saw yesterday that they're making a remake of Red Dawn, only instead of Russian invaders it's North Koreans (changed from Chinese for political reasons)!

I had no idea they were remaking Red Dawn - I thought the first one was crap.
I agree with you about I Am Legend. It was a very good book, but a terrible movie... well, the end really sucked; let's put it that way.

We just watched I Spit On Your Grave last night on DVD.
The violence and rape perpetrated against the lead female character is horrific - and so is the vengeance she takes against her rapists who had left her for dead. And those scumbag crackers deserved every second of it.

Gah! I want to see this, not least of all because I have a thing for Emily Browning.
But I have to go with the boyfriends choice on the next movie night - Paul -_-

The Rite ... it was not good, but Hopkins was great as always.

Thankful for Orange Wednesdays with two for one cinema tickets and pizza...I'd never leave the house otherwise, lol.

I saw Dancing Across Borders, which was very inspiring. This dancer from Cambodia was supported to go to the US and learn ballet, age 17 (which is WAY TOO OLD to start in ballet for 99.9 % of dancers!! !!) and it films him the whole time, seeing how he progresses, the cultural changes.
Next up,Control Room!
