Hybrid.

Silly movie where our protagonist loses his eyes in an industrial accident, and is given the eyes of a wolf. Long story short, he starts becoming mentally and spiritually a wolf, while the military tries capturing him to make supersoldiers. Native Americans show him the way of the wolf.

Underwater.

So-so scifi/horror flick. A drilling operation on the floor of the Mariana trench suddenly is irreparably damaged by what is first thought to be seismic activity. With no other choice, the surviving crew has to make a walk across the ocean floor in deep sea suits to a surviving module. There, they find themselves picked off one-by-one by horrific creatures, only to discover that said horrific creatures are the spawn of...

*Spoiler*

Cthulhu!! ! It's Goddamn Cthulhu!! !

Rollover (1981)

Film about a Saudi Arabian plot to crush the dollar-based Western financial system and supplant it with one based on oil and gold. Needless to say there's also a romantic sub-plot, in this case involving Kris Kristofferson and Jane Fonda.

Just about watchable as far as the sub-plot goes. As for the main thesis, just how wide of the mark can you get? The film was conceived at the end of a decade when the oil price rose from around $3 to $40, and the gold price from $35 to $850. Over the next 20 years, oil fell back to $10 and gold to $260, making the whole concept look ridiculous in retrospect.

Yet right now we have gold at $1700 and the world financial system teetering on the brink once again...

Beauty & the Beast (2014)

A new, and unnecessary, French version of the timeless tale. I only watched it because I'm a completionist even though I knew it wouldn't compare to Disney's animated version, and I was right. It was pretty though, and bursting with solid cinematography. The CGI in a lot of places was laughable so Hollywood has no competition here.

Concrete Jungle 1/6 , what a waste of Michael Chan and Lieh : lousy plot (Lieh plays a cop that loses his badge and accused of murder or something) , poor fights , very poor editing
