Any Stargate fans catch Stargate: Universe tonight?

The approach reminded me of the newer series of Battlestar Galactica - dark, close camera shots, serious, and not a lot of emphasis on alien-looking aliens.

hmm I haven't really seen much of the newer version of Battlestar Galactica (i have the 1st season on my pc but still haven't watched it lol) so ill assume that your right there. I was thinking more in terms of the basic storyline, still I think its far too early to be making comparisons between the two yet.

I hope to Mot that the emo chick's outbursts won't continue like this - What a terrible idea to have a character you haven't defined yet in tears several times during the very first episode. Also, yeah, it was kind of like BSG, and I really hope they're not trying to emulate that, because then this series will suck.

A lot of mismatched people in a spaceship with no support, dark jump cuts, and a long journey ahead of them, trying to reach Earth. This represents

b) BattleStar Galactica
