Love all detective type shows. Reid is awesome; I wish I also could memorise the bible.

Bones is a great show too.

My mother is a huge fan and I love sexy sexy Malcolm(Shamar Moore whose character's name I forget) and my mother thinks Reid is/exhibits traits of an aspie. Reid is the late twenty, early thirty-something doctor on the team right?

The Shemar Moore character's name is SSA(?) Derek Morgan. Yes Reid is the young doctor. It's funny that your mom thinks he is/seems aspie because in one episode; I think it was in the first season, the UNSUB was taunting the team and when it was Reid's turn to be taunted he is mentioned as having autistic qualities.

Yes, sorry for not replying to your question, LostInBed. I scoot in to this thread only occasionally.

Reid is indeed the young doctor on the show. He often spouts incredible general knowledge and random interesting and/or historical facts, leaving people like JJ to walk away with mock (?) frustration.
He has eidetic memory and can memorise exactly things he has read, and therefore recall exact details from books and he knows the entire bible, according to one episode (sorry I don't know which season, we get them all mixed up here is Australia usually) where Reid gets abducted and when he is on camera he makes reference to bible passages, ie he sends a coded message to the Hotch (sp?) which Hotch picks up on and can then decipher the message through looking up the bible refs.

I haven't actually heard him being referred to as having autistic tendencies, yet I'm pretty sure that the character is supposed to seeing as he has such obvious qualities.
