5. Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (I don't understand why people hated this. Because it had aliens? So what, the Indiana Jones movies have always had farfetched things in them. This was a great comeback for Indiana Jones)

1. Spider-Man 3 (The best superhero movie ever made in my opinion. The hate it gets is way uncalled for)

With Indiana Jones and TOTCS people hate it because it had terrible dialogue, Shia Lebouf, full of just straight up stupid scenes, and also felt like a rehash of the elements of the first 3. The aliens weren't very fitting but they are one of the smallest reasons of why it's a bad film.

And Spider-Man 3 is just bad... I mean everyone is entitled to their own opinion but seriously? The best superhero movie ever made? Even Sam Raimi admits he half-assed the movie because he was pissed at the studio. The film was full of retcons and plot contradictions to the first two films, crammed way too many plotlines into it, terrible terrible dialogue, f*****g ret*d emo peter and the stupid dance s**t... Hell the only thing I liked about the film that most people hated was the treatment of Venom, yes the character is only Venom/Eddie Brock in name only and NOTHING like the comic counterpart, but I have a soft spot for Topher Grace and liked his portrayal of Eddie Brock/Venom in name only... Although Venom saying "I" is inexcusable no matter what.

Batman Returns- While this is a really good film, it's not as look on as fondly as it's prequel because it was less of a Batman and film and more of a dark Tim Burton comedy which turned a lot of people off. This is the only actually good film on the list.

I completely agree. That's probably why it's the only Batman film I own... Less Bat, more Burton. Everyone else can keep Heath Ledger's Joker as their favorite Batman movie villain; I claim Danny Devito's Penguin as mine. 8)

I should probably dig this movie out of the garage and watch it again, because the more I'm talking about it the more I want to see it...

Return of the Jedi - Even though this movie is pretty well received, it isn't nearly as well like as the first 2 star wars films. i personally like it just as much as the first 2. most people dislike it for the ewoks. i don't mind them that much. At least they were better than the gungans. Also, the duel between luke and vader was absolutely amazing

Iron Man 2 - Again, another movie that was received ok, but was considered far inferior to the original. while the original was a bit better, i still enjoy this one. i thought that the villain and the fight scenes were much better. also scarlett johanson as black widow was a plus

Back to the Future 2 - I really enjoyed this one. I love the scenes in 2015 with the hoverboard. Also the scene where biff meets his future self is pretty good. I thought it was a nice addition.

Back to the Future 3 - I also really enjoy this one. The scene with the doc in the bar after he drinks the liquor is priceless. Even though it is pretty much a sci-fi/western, I found no real reason to hate it, it finishes the trilogy nicely.

In addition to "Terminator 3" and "Terminator Salvation", I really liked:

X-Men: The Last Stand

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (which wasn't always considered a turkey; in fact, I remember geeks being outraged when it received, at first, a "Rotten" rating on the Tomatometer, and questioning the selection of film critics)

The Mummy Returns (which is like Indiana Jones on speed; I especially liked the pygmy mummies)

Shock Treatment (the 1981 sequel to "The Rocky Horror Picture Show")

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (another movie that used to be considered cool before political correctness set in)

Scary Movie 3 (the best in the series)

Shrek the Third and Shrek Forever After

Spy Kids 3-D

Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (the most provocative Apes movie)

Jurassic Park 3 (which was shamelessly ripped off by "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs", after only eight years)

He may have been pissed at the studio yeah, but I highly doubt he half-assed the film. It was quite emotional and it was quite obvious put his heart into the film. Also why would he purposely want to make a bad movie when it could affect his career?

Wrong. Don't know where you got that idea from.

Quote:

It has more plotlines than the first two films, yeah, but they are all written so well, and they interwine beautifully.

Quote:
terrible terrible dialogue
No.

Quote:
f***ing ret*d emo peter and the stupid dance sh**...
That part was amazing! Emo peter was cool, and that dance scene was HILARIOUSLY good.
The guy has killer dance moves :D ImageImageImage

Why did you not like that scene? You don't like the humour? The same humour was also used in Spider-Man 2 (Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head much?) and people seem to love that film even though it's not as good.

I would rate them:

Spider-Man 9/10
Spider-Man 2 8.5/10
Spider-Man 3 9.5/10

The Tina Turner Mad Max was brilliant.

The other four examples were awful.

(1984) 2010: The Year We Make Contact
Director: Peter Hyams
Starring: Roy Scheider, John Lithgow, Keir Dullea

I think it is an excellent movie, but in the shadow of its famous predecessor, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and the Soviet Union / Communist Russia references are now dated..

I agree that The Karate Kid 2 was underrated. I feel it surprassed the first movie in just about every way... believable story, great setting, believable antaganists. The BS in the third movie pissed me off... am I supposed to believe that Daniel is afraid of some punk kid in the USA after what he dealt with in Japan?

The Matrix Reloaded- not Revolutions. The ending of the movie set up the third one, and there were things I remember feeling disappointed about in regards to the plot. Where Reloaded surpasses the other movies is the action scenes, fighting and choreography- Neo's fight with all the Smith clones, The fight with the Merivongian's henchmen, and Morpheus' fight with the Agent on top of a trailer during the amazing freeway scene.. Just awesome.

Superman 2: Richard Donner Cut- I liked this over the theatrical version directed by Richard Lester. There were some scenes that were edited or were clearly rehearsal scenes, or not meant to show up in the theatrical version. It didn't appear to have the same humour as the theatrical version, but it had it's moments. Compared to Richard Lester, this version was a little bit better.

Lethal Weapon 4- I hear a lot of opinions that this movie was bad and not as good as the first three. For me, the third is the worst of the series. I really found myself more entertained and believed Jet Li as the villain was more believable and probably more dangerous than what Riggs and Murtaugh had encountered previously. On the action side, the movie was definitely better than the third one, and the funniest scene for me was the dentist scene and Riggs getting punched by Murtaugh after the scene was over.

Infernal Affairs 2- the second in this trilogy and Hong Kong films. Was a prequel to the first movie, but had an awesome plot that explains the development of how Sam and the police chief beccome enemies after a soured friendship and of course, Sam's rise to power. For those who don't know what these movies are... Martin Scorcese's the Departed is pretty much scene for scene what the first Infernal Affairs movie was.

Honorable mention; Ip Man 2. Another Hong Kong movie with Donnie Yen playing the role of Yip Man (The man who trained Bruce Lee in martial arts). Although these movies are mostly fictional, the movies are simply awesome and have some amazing martial arts scenes. Not many movies had better action scenes and choreography than these movies. Can't wait for the third movie.

The Matrix Reloaded: Best action scenes of the trilogy and the best music. I'm in the minority here but I enjoy this more than the original Matrix.
Iron Man 2: Not as good as the first but I really didn't think it was that much weaker.
Mission: Impossible II: I liked it better than the first and third movies. It seems to usually be considered the worst one.
Spiderman 3: Sure it was cheesy, but I thought it was great fun, and what no one ever seems to mention is that the action sequences were top notch. Better than the new Spiderman movie.
Transporter 2: Takes itself less seriously than the first one and the action is shot better. Any movie where Jason Statham beats people up with a fire hose can't be bad.
Quantum of Solace: Not nearly as good as Casino Royale or Skyfall, but still not as bad as people make it out to be. Truthfully I haven't actually rewatched this since it was in theaters so it may not have held up that well.
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian: Less buildup and more action = more enjoyment for this moviegoer. The castle raid was particularly impressive.
The Bourne Legacy: Yes, it pales in comparison to the Damon films but it's still a good movie on its own merits, it just takes a while to get going. It would have been better if it didn't try to connect the plot to Bourne and just did its own thing.

Alien 3 - Though it's not in the same league as it's epic and legendary predecessors, the director's cut of Alien 3 is partially underrated due to the gothic music, the murky setting of an all-male prison planet and Ripley going bald. Originally, the plan was the infamous wooden planet concept, but Vincent Ward and the studio clashed constantly.

Just imagine what would of been......

Alien 3 to me was a return to the franchises roots after Aliens(Great movie mind you) went the balls to the wall action route as opposed to the sci-fi horror pacing of the original with one alien picking off a bunch of people not armed to deal with something so deadly. Why so many people hate it, I happen to think it was fantastic and its a tough call for me which of the first 3 I like the most.

Alien Resurrection on the other hand, yeah, that movie sucked.

Quantum of Solace is another film I see get a lot of hate and I thought was excellent. I actually think I liked it better than Skyfall though not as good as Casino Royale. So far Daniel Craig has fallen into the same pattern Pierce Brosnan did with each movie getting worse, but nowhere near as drastically and all three of Craig's would be ranked among the better half of Bond of films while the last two Brosnan films, particularly Die Another Day are among the worst. The ending to Skyfall however was excellent and bodes well for the future of the franchise but I think Quantum of Solace was more consistent in quality throughout the entire film.
