I honestly don't think we will get a VII, VIII, and IX. But, I wouldn't rule out another Star Wars trilogy.

Has anyone seen that tv advert for currys or Pc world, I can't remember which one. It features C-3P0 and R2-D2.

Oh please, no... Not another trilogy. The prequels were so bad that I can't even watch the originals anymore, they utterly destroyed that sci fi universe for me. I can't tell you how much I loath the whole franchise now.

It won't necesarily be an episode 7, 8, 9 deal. And it won't affect the OT, so if they turn out subpar, you can just forget them unlike the prequels. What's the worst that could happen?

Sorry to bump up a 5 year old thread but considering that the trailer for the first instalment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy is now out, I thought it was appropriate. It's funny how we dismissed this at the time. I wrote in this very thread that I didn't believe it, rather believing official statements from Lucasfilm that the third trilogy doesn't exist. Given that George Lucas was already writing the story treatments in 2011 and this thread was started in 2010, this rumour was probably true, to an extent.
