Favorite Batman villains

Joker, Catwoman, Two-Face, & Harley Quinn are my favorites no matter what incarnation (excluding TL Jones' Two-Face in Batman Forever). Scarecrow, Penguin, Mr Freeze, Poison Ivy, Riddler and Ra's Al Ghul are good in some versions of Batman, but not all of them.

I know they completely effed up Bane in Batman & Robin, but I'll definitely be interested to see how Tom Hardy and Nolan use him in the next film.

Yes, that Bane in Batman & Robin is horrible! The only thing is that his look (the mask, at least) is much more similar to the comics than this one that will be played by Tom Hardy. But the personality of the first one (if he had one!) was really ridiculous.

Sadly, Christian Bale said that The Dark Knight Rises will be his and Christopher Nolan's last Bat-film.

Danny DeVito's character was the best on-film incarnation, but Nolan North's voice of the character in Arkham City trumps even that

The only villain I ever liked in Batman was Poison Ivy. I think she's the most unique villainess because she's not completely evil in my opinion, she truely believes it is her duty to protect nature from humans and she is willing to kill millions of so-called innocent people just to protect the plantlife of the earth which nobody ever really considers as being a living thing just like everything else. The fact that the experiments done to her makes her more plant than human kind of makes me understand why she feels a closeness to plants and sees them as her "babies".

The other villains in Batman are all just psychopaths that I don't really sympathize with at all, but I do feel some sympathy for Poison Ivy because I can understand her cause for wanting to protect nature.

All of these are at their best in The Animated Series.

You can find Scarecrow's mask and a pile of straw on a bridge in the Industrial District, scan it to read how Scarecrow escaped from Killer Croc and is now presumed missing. Then drop down to a boat on your left hand side, then use the cryptographic sequencer on the box and enter "CITYOFTERROR" as a password. A secret area will open to reveal a small hideaway with a dead inmate, cockroaches and a shipping order from Scarecrow himself, so he will be returning in the 2013 3rd game.

Other allusions include Ra's Al Ghul and Talia's bodies both vanishing, Two-Face taking over the museum in the wake of Penguin's defeat, the pregnancy test kit in the Steel Mill and Azrael's prophecy.

Penguin is my all-time favorite Bat villain.

First of all, he's the ultimate crime-lord to me: refined and debonaire

On top of that....he goes the top hate route; I have a fixation for top hats...I think they're one of the greatest fashion styles of all time.

And he wears it so well.


On top of that....this is a guy that survived just being a minor villain in the Golden Age, was brought into greater prominence in the Silver Age, and even in the Modern Age he still stands strong. To pull that off, he's gotta be doing something right.

Just to give you an understand of my obsession with this character, I collect Penguin figures; from all that I've seen, there are only like two ever made that I have no desire for, but I want all the others, and have a good chunk of them.

I'm also royally pissed off with how they took him out in Batman Returns( despite it being one of my favorite movies).


Probably next up would be the Joker; but in fairness, not only do I absolutely love Heath Ledger's Joker, I've been told that I remind people of him. NO, that doesn't shock me in any way.

Yeah, I'm surprised the Penguin's managed to stick around too. He used to be such a lame villain.

Surprised Hugo Strange hasn't been mentioned, not like he is my favourite. I like Scarecrow a lot but Two-Face is my favourite.
