Why own a TV if you can have Netflix

I like TV, well I like watching cartoons more than anything, but I get and appreciate what you mean. People have said negative things about TV but I would disagree, I LOVED TV. But as I got older I started to see and appreciate why we should watch less TV or none at all and why some choose not to watch T.V. I even voluntarily stopped watching Tv for a week, well that was only because I got a new video game so I guess that doesn't count!

Today I don't like to watch TV for 24 hours straight or 24-7, although I have times I cannot stand not having TV.

Unfortunately I don't have Cable anymore as of December, we can no longer afford it, so I've pretty much been forced to give up TV altogether and doubt we'll ever get it back, although lately I've been using my TV to watch the local news and new episodes of The Simpsons, but can no longer do that . Because I don't have cable, now I don't get the news anymore although the news can get me angry, but I usually watch it for weather, but now I usually have to go to sleep not knowing what the weather will be the next day, although I do get some email alerts.

But now that I have Netflix, Cartoons Unlimited on my computer, and a cartoon app on my phone, and I use those more anyway, I guess there's no need for TV, besides now I can watch what I want whenever I want and have a long list of cartoons and movies to choose from! And live action shows, I also have Pluto TV on my phone.

I do miss watching the news. I know I can get it online but it's not the same. I also don't like watching The Simpsons online or on a computer so I've pretty much given up watching The Simpsons, at least for now.

But I can see why you despise TV. Sometimes I don't like it either, and TV was something I thought I'd always like, just like McDonald's, which now I hate, cannot even stand the sight of and get a sick feeling from! And now that we have Netflix, online videos and show watching apps, there's almost no need for TV!

So I'm kind of with you! "Kind of" being the keywords!

I don't care for tv either. I haven't been able to find a show I have been able to get into for quite some time. I don't watch the news since it's depressing. Occasionally I'll watch Jeopardy! but not very often. I do watch Youtube videos sometimes instead.
