I think its universally accepted that the phantom menace was bad, now comes the time to just deal with it.

Aspiegaming: I also felt that way about the clone wars CGI movie, but the TV series i felt got better over time (read: from the point Darth Maul was brought back).

But anyways a few on my list of the bad movies:

-The Fred movies (I heard Luis Cruickshank got tired of doing Fred and is slowly abandoning his Youtube channel)
-The live-action death note movie (to be fair it wasn't that bad, it just felt like a stupid live-action conversion)
-The Libertine (a movie clearly designed for Johny Depp's fangirls)
-In the name of Ghenghis Khan (that movie was so slow, and for a movie about a conqueror, there was only 1 epic battle at the END of the movie.)

I honestly haven't seen a lot of the TV series. I have been playing Lego Star Wars III but that's about it. Honestly, I spend more time with video games than TV. I remember when they did those animated Clone Wars shorts. Those were enjoyable and then came the CGI Clone Wars which scrapped the shorts out of continuity. The shorts went into great detail leading up to the Revenge of the Sith. They showed Anakin getting the rank of Jedi Knight and battling Asajj Ventress giving in further into hate while doing so and showed Mace Windu using the force on Grievous' chest thus explaining his coughing fits and kidnapping the Chancellor which becomes a plot element in the third film.

Not really. The movie has its issues, but its nowhere near as bad a film as people make it out to be. Disappointing sure, it should have been better, but horrible? Not even close.

I never saw any of the Die Hard movies, but saw that the newest one only got 1 star. Probably won't see it.

Die Hard 3. I've heard that the movie in a nutshell is basically some alcoholic shooting a bunch of people.

you mean Die Hard with a Vengeance? Because that plot summary is completely wrong.

That would be the fourth one, Live Free or Die Hard, which was nowhere near as good.

I am disappointed to see the new Die Hard getting horrible reviews, and its clear the writers and director did not once look at the criticisms lodged at the fourth movie, since apparently the new one has the exact same problems and some reviews call it the worst in the series. Which is a shame, since the first three movies were great and Bruce Willis can still be badass as witnessed by Looper, but when you are giving sh***y writing and directing, not much you can do.

After Vengeance, the Die Hard movies have become so watered down that even the timeless catchphrase has been censored. Looper had Willis at least trying to be badass, he succeeded though.

To me, the Die Hard sequels do not exist. There is one Die Hard movie and it is a Christmas movie.

Eragon was downright terrible. It was the first movie I saw that I went, "This is the worst movie I've ever seen..." I mean, I had seen bad movies before then but not so bad I could automatically just throw at the top of the list of "Worst Movie Ever Seen" and within 15 minutes of the film too.

I didn't like District 9. I heard such good things about it, but I couldn't even finish it. It was just one BS scenario after another. I felt like Transformers had a more solid plot. To me it was just another B rater sci-fi movie with pretty graphics.

Spy Kids. Even when I was 11, Robert Rodriguez's work just rubbed me the wrong way and made me want to punch someone in the throat. It's like poison to my eyes and the script was like vomit to my ears. To be honest, I can't actually pinpoint exactly why I hate Spy Kids (and Shark Boy and Lava Girl) so much. Maybe it's the script, maybe it's the campiness, maybe it's the graphics, I don't know.

At least District 9 is watchable and has a more sensitive subject than Michael Bay destroying millions of childhoods worldwide.

District 9 was fantastic film, and like great sci-fi should it used its story to parallel real world issues and provide commentary on them. I am really looking forward to Neil Blomkamp's next film Elysium.

If you want to talk bad modern sci-fi, go watch Skyline. I actually knew it was going to suck going in to the movie from reviews I had read, but someone I know wanted to see it so I went in to it with already low expectations. I apparently didn't lower them enough because the sheer level of suck was enormous.

I was trying to demonstrate the absurdity of District 9's plot by comparing it to relatively crappy movie not known for its plot. I know what the movie was going for. I get it. It was just trying to be a smart, emotional social commentary. It was just was not working for me and in the end, I felt it was grossly overrated.

Also, why is it anytime I mention that I don't like District 9, people get defensive? I mean, I've seen people get pretty damn defensive over it and I really do mean "throw away all intelligence and revert to name calling" type of defensive. Heaven forbid someone doesn't like a movie, right?

Triumph of the Will was a spectacle on film. It was the meeting of the Nazi Party rally in Nurnberg in 1934. It was a brilliant piece of film making by Leni Raffensthal a Nazi Propagandist but a brilliant cinematographer. He film on the 1936 olympics was stunning. With a camera she was a genius, but she was a moral cretin. She simply did not comprehend any ethical issues with the Nazis. It went completely over her head.

Fair enough, i just find the comparison to Transformers ludicrous.
