Have done. Will do.

Critics scores are something I check after watching the film, if at all. I decide for myself whether I like a movie or not.

Reviews definitely do come in handy when there's a movie that I'm on the fence about seeing, and good reviews might influence me to go see something that I previously hadn't given much if any thought. However, there are definitely some movies where I'll want to go see them regardless of reception - sequels to movies I liked, movies that have really interesting subjects or premises, some comedies (I'm easily amused), or types of movies that I don't expect critics to "get". Still, I'm probably influenced by them more often than not.

By the way, regarding a previous post about Tim Burton movies: I'm hardly a diehard fan of his but I generally respect him and have enjoyed a number of his movies. I personally liked both Alice in Wonderland and Frankenweenie (and so did most of my friends that saw both). Didn't see Dark Shadows, and there have been some other things by him that I wasn't crazy about (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd). I guess I differ from both IdahoRose *and* the critics. Hey, everyone's got their own views.
