He supposedly returned to Starfleet in the last TNG movie "Star Trek:Nemesis" cause he was shown in uniform during the wedding scene. Remember near the end of TNG when he left Starfleet to go exploring with the traveler?

I suspect the whole Star Trek reboot was a Terminator-like plot to prevent the birth of Weasel Crusher.

The destruction of the planet Vulcan was acceptable collateral damage.

A new Star Trek series on the telly?

Star Trek and Television are for people who can not handle Traveller!

I read that they were planning a new series after ENT called Star Trek Federation set in the year 3000 the ideas of the series sounds good. Also a series like that you can get away with doing the series with either timeline

There is no character in the Star Trek universe I dislike more then Wesley Crusher. So please.... Don't....
But I'm all for a new series, I would prefer it in the original timeline, but it would be sort of cool to have a series in the new timeline, about 20 years after DS9/Voyager, and have some of those castmembers show up as their old characters, but in the new timeline. Like... Janeway never made captain, but we see her as a low ranking officer or maybe even a civilian? Stuff like that would be awsome! I just don't want any of those neo-TOS characters in the series. I don't like the new timeline. Or more accurately, I don't like that they destroyed my version of that universe.

Why not Wesley Crusher was so cool, and he was smartest in Enterprise :D

That makes two of us, because I also do not like it.

The most lame thing about the two most recent Star Trek movies is that they don't take place in our universe. For example, President Obama looks like a completely different person in that alternate universe(if he was even president in 2013), whereas in the regular Star Trek universe he looks the exactly the same of course.

All Star Trek shows/movies from before the two newest movies take place in a fictional future of the universe we're all in now IRL.

Actually, it only became an alternate universe when the Romulan ship commanded by Nero exited the black hole from the future, thereby creating a separate timeline.
