What an idea that is!

Who would they fight? It would have to be someone dangerous enough that would acquire attention from both Batman and Superman. Not Joker or Ra' Al Ghul. They just did both of them in Nolan's trilogy. They already did General Zod twice. (Superman II and Man of Steel) Lex Luthor sounds too predicatable. . .

Wait a minute! What if they fight. . . each other???

That's what I had suggested, as in The Dark Knight Returns.

Yes, I've seen Superman go rogue before, but it wasn't his fault. His mind had been taken over during those times. That will probably be the case here.

In The Dark Knight Returns, Batman's become such a political liability with his vigilantism that Superman has no choice but to bring him in. Trouble is, Batman won't go down without a fight.

I remember reading that, and I think at least in part, that's the big plan. They do like to keep to the comics as much as they can, it seems.

Perhaps the Robin character from the end of the Batman Trilogy will reprise the role for this movie?

Why is it still assumed that Christopher Nolan's Batman is going to be the Batman in this movie? Other than Nolan's version heavily mired in a sort of believable reality where people don't have superpowers (re Bane) and Superman's presence conflicting that, Christian Bale confirmed that he does not want to continue the role: http://www.theguardian.com/film/2013/ju ... es-up-role

I'm not sure what Nolan's planning to do (is he still working for Warner Bros?) but most likely, there may have to be a Batman reboot as Nolan's Batman was heavily mired in a non-fantasy reality, which Superman kind of breaks just by flying in alone. I did hear a rumour that Warner Bros are looking to do a Justice League live-action movie (obviously to try and mimic the success of Disney-Paramount-Marvel's Avengers). Warner Bros do have a mountainous problem ahead of them, as in trying to adapt the material so it's a little more relatable to audiences unfamiliar with the comic-book mythos (which Avengers Assemble just about did, surprisingly) but since we've nothing but a quick confirmation at Comic-Con this year, we'll just have to see how things pan out.

Just heard that either Josh Brolin or Ryan Gosling are the rumoured front runners to play the Dark Knight. Brolin would work since he has the old school Batman look about him, but not Gosling.

If anyone deserves it. I say Karl Urban. He made Judge Dredd decent and had a good snarling voice without going OTT.

I'm still pulling for a LexCorp/Project Cadmus/Government program to neutralize Superman...

It would be an interesting twist if Batman started out on the side of the conspiracy before he gets to know Superman.
