canceling cool tv show series really piss my off

I liked this show as well, and thought the wrap-up was as good as it could have been, given the circumstances. I am watching the original British version, which has its good points, but I think the American version is unfairly bashed. For one thing, it handles the central mystery with a little more intrigue than the original British series, which has more of the feeling of a standard cop show.

Indeed Fringe ran for a long time, given the specialized nature of the plot and atmosphere. It was gracious of them to produce season 5, providing us fans with some sense of closure, and a satisfying ending, IMHO. The X-Files comparison seemed more evident at the beginning, and I think it grew out of that mold by season 3.

Series that I would love to have seen progress further:
- Jericho - 2 seasons
Here's another case where the fans clamored for an extension (brief season 2), to provide a sort of ending. I wish they would release this in Blu-Ray.
