south park creators know asperger's better than aspies?
if you like the matrix you should read the comic book series the invisibles. it was an inspiration for the matrix, but they didn't see the matrix through to the ends that the comic took it to which left out some very important points and diluted the whole message, i think.
i like some south park so watched it, i don't have a memory for this stuff lol:
i think, in part, the episode was poking fun at over diagnosis and pathologizing normal behavior variations as a means of social control i.e. if you don't like the way things are something must be wrong with you.
it's also true that all people and groups that are disenfranchised from a system are potentially more able to spot problems with a system.
they were also making fun of people that take the matrix idea literally, i think, ai, aliens, rock monsters, vampires. (imo they missed a trick not mentioning lizard people) or people that blame a conspiracy on their problems. alcohol as a means of blocking out reality - returning to "the matrix". it's not an evil plot life is just sh***y sometimes.
and
they were also making fun of the idea that vaccines, especially in older children was a government plot.
subjective, but also making fun of people that doubt aspergers is real i think, with the fast food cartel, dunno it could also be going the other way and saying it's normal.
so overall i liked it and it was pretty standard south park "compassionate libertarianism". i don't think it really spoke to aspergers more it was a spring board to poke fun a society, as is their style.
tbh, i feel that you perceiving a connection between you liking the matrix, being told you might have aspergers, seeing a tv show mentioning the matrix and aspergers, then determining the creators seeing the "real" truth that others don't is potentially overactive pattern recognition on your part.
you can make connections between everything because everything is potentially connected. * placing too much importance and meaning in specific connections turns out to be bad times for many people. choosing to be open to connections can broaden understanding, but if you feel the connections are out of your control and telling you things outside of your self it seems like it can be dangerous. maybe something to be mindful of.
everything is true nothing is permitted.
