Hmm - - does that mean the cannibals are f*cked?

Yeah, I know what you're thinking.... That would be very poetic, but that isn't the way it went in the comics. Of course, that doesn't mean anything.

It would be a nice twist.

The comics are great, but I hope this season doesn't follow too closely.

I think the Bite theory is good. It would explain it.

Yeah, I was just assuming Bob was bitten...although the final conversation ("we would have done this to anyone") does give Toy_Soldiers theory some credibility. They've also made Father Gabriel's "sins" quite obvious. This show is a lot of things, but subtle isn't one of them.

As far as following the comics go, I've read several times that this season is supposed to follow the comics far more closely than any previous season. Obviously there will be differences because of certain characters in the comic being long dead in the show, and vice versa, but based off this last episode it seems a safe bet for readers to expect most of the major beats for this story line.

Also, I'm like 90% sure I saw the hat guy that Tyrese left alive in the cabin with the cannibals at the end. That would explain how they caught up so quickly, and could spell some deep troubles for Tyrese with the rest of the group.

Hmm.. I thought Tyrese killed that guy by stabbing. But it wasn't clearly shown. Not like Rick and that dude who had messed with his son... he was clearly stabbed. 8O

Bob's been a mystery all along. What was in that box he hid from Sasha back in the prison? I haven't seen the last episode yet, I catch it on Amazon tonight. Somebody unexpectedly blurted out a spoiler, maybe, on a online game I was on last night. We'll see.

I did think something might be up with Bob, or I should say something was going to happen to him after his short talk with Rick about how you needed to hold onto what you were and that it would be over eventually. Optimism is close to a death sentence on TWD.

Now the question is: is that Carol following behind Daryl in the closing scene?

I have a feeling that Carol is gonna meet Lucille later in the season.

My guess is that it's either Beth OR the guy from the pilot who showed up at the end of this season's first episode (can't remember his name, he also had a memorable appearance in Season 3). I don't see why they would end on that sort of suspenseful note if it's just Carol.

His name is Morgan. He is the one who basically showed Rick the reality of this new world after he awoke from his coma in the first episode. Without him Rick would have been a goner by the end of the pilot.

The same actor had played a sinister dirty cop on AMC's Low Winter Sun.

I'd say its got to be Beth with Daryl. Is Carol with them?

Bob got his revenge and was avenged.

Dano was right about that guy Carol and Tyrese captured surviving. Well for a little while.

Gareth mused about the window glass breaking at the school. Later they show it cracked. But that's all? Its just in there for.... Idk?

The group splitting up surprised me, especially Maggie and Glenn leaving Rick's group. They seemed to play up them being disgusted by the killing of the Cannibals.

Abraham and Rosita definitely need some development. Abraham came on a little stronger this episode.

Rick before he kills Gareth looked as scary as I have seen him. Believable scary.

I don't see the Father Fetal Position joining them. I guess he will remain in his church (?)

OK. Why use the silencers in the church? Not to attract walkers?

Why doesn't Rick want the rest of the group to go to DC, since they're just wandering around aimlessly anyway? I don't understand splitting up the group. :?

I'm for team Darryl and Beth.
Mostly because I can't stand the weird Anderson Cooper thing Carol has going on with her hair.

I like the Daryl/Beth coupling too. Its nicely odd, but has a better personality match too I think. They both have an immaturish side to them. You saw it when they burned the cabin down. The guy that would be a good match for Carol? Idk, but I don't think there has been one in the series yet. Unless he was firebombed in Atlanta. 8O

It seems a plot hole to me that they haven't pressed Dr. Mullet for more specifics. Who and what is he in contact with in Washington? When did he loose contact? They were at the CDC and that place didn't survive. Why would a place in Washington fare better? (Although in light of recent RL events, I am less surprized the CDC didn't survive). I mean to me the guy oozes suspicion. He doesn't seem anxious to get to Washington himself.

But anyway, I believe they were all going to DC until Daryl and Carol disappeared. The group thinks the group, and finding strays is more important then a questionable DC mission. Abraham sees it otherwise. That was the odd thing about Glenn and Maggie splitting off. But it probably serves some plot purpose as well as present an irony if Maggies's sister Beth shows back up.

Are any of the group in imminent danger of getting killed off?

I would say Tara is on the shakiest ground.

Not sure about Abraham & Rosita or Eugene as I don't know what part they play in the comic series. Eugene seems to me to not have a particularly long life line on his palm though. I don't believe there is a Washington anymore or that Eugene will be able to do anything. He's just been playing a game to get protection.

I would have thought Tyrese and Sasha would have to watch their step as well, but they feel like they are being drawn in more permanently. And Tyrese is becoming a more unique and complex group character. Sasha has more work cut out for her as they already have multiple other warrior women characters.

I think Tyrese and Carol are a good match.

I think Dr. Mullet (is that really his name??) was innoculated with an experimental vaccine. Now he wants to use his blood to make more vaccine. That's just my own personal guess, based on the fact that he doesn't seem concerned about sharing his knowledge with anyone else - the knowledge alone would be worthless to them.

That is not bad really. Tyrese & Carol. Both are deep people. And they kind of played with that idea when they were briefly alone at the isolated farm. Carol killed his girlfriend however. Even though under somewhat mitigating circumstances it probably is a show stopper.

No, I was just dissing the haircut. It's Dr. Eugene Porter.

Actually, Tyrese and Carol did hookup in the comics...

Also, how many PhD.'s do you know who sport a mullet?

Just something to think about....
