Just once I'd like to see someone try to insert that cheesy, horrible music they have in reality shows into a real-life argument. Imagine some guy just starting up a boombox and narrating the conflict.

Another thing I see in reality shows such as Hell's Kitchen is these really bizarre reactions the actors have to certain stimuli; neck-jerking, facial tics, overdone expressions that you never see from anyone in real life. Most likely a result of deceptive editing where they take a shot of the expression and then insert it after a climactic line to make it look like their real reaction. 'Judge Judy' does this constantly in its commercial bumpers (Judy: "Bla bla bla bla bla blah?!?!", cue shot of defendant making weird gesture or staring blankly at her) and it DROVE ME INSANE, because when the show came back on after the commercial and you saw the actual scene, the defendant didn't react that way at all.

Is this kind of contempt for the viewers' intelligence unique to FOX, or do all the reality shows do it now?

FUNNY DEATH METAL LYRICS OF THE WEEK: 'DEMON'S WIND' BY VADER
Clammy frog descends
Demon's wind, the stars answer your desire
Join the undead, that's the place you'll never leave
You wanna die... but death cannot do us apart...

I would really like to have had Richard Kiley [RIP] narrate my life [on a bed of swelling and receding dramatic music] as I lived it. but of course that is not realistic.

I don't know if they do it, on all "reality shows"----but, I DO know they do it on all channels. I HATE it, cuz it's manipulation, IMO!! I've heard show-biz people say it's called "the tease"----so, just that term, ALONE, sort-of, suggests ROTTEN, or "unfair" behavior!!

Young, voluptuous nurses wearing their hair long and loose, and wearing too tight, too short, and too low-cut uniforms, and behaving in a completely unprofessional manner.

IRL, nurses are not there to be physically appealing, nor are they there to dress like nurse-fetish call-girls. All of the nurses that have ever taken care of me have dressed and behaved in the most professional manner, completely unlike those tarts on TV ...

... Darn it!

Sleeping?

Middle class people or newlyweds buying huge condos in New York
People waking up and looking like they just stepped out of a fashion show
When people fire guns or anything loud and don't close their ears
Not washing out their spit in the sink after brushing their teeth (SO many shows do this...why???)
Stopping the bomb at 00:01

you never see people have to hold in their farts, and gingerly padding about in agony at the trapped gas until they get a chance to let it out. you never see people use toilet plungers after clogging their toilets. the residents of the tv universe are free of these concerns.
