Charles Schultz was autistic?

Where did you hear this?

I've seen his name on lists of famous autistics.

I choose linus because he reminds me of me his blanket is like my Justin Who is my stuffed bear plus he is very immature yet mature at the same time he is awkward sometimes and is really innocent.

I am the only one who voted for Snoopy?

Isn't it obvious? He has the most interesting mind.
He is the most focused.

Snoopy first, then Schroeder, then Linus and Charlie.

Pigpen, because he's the only one I identify with in any way.

I just thought about Snoopy's brother Spike, who lives all alone out in the desert. He often talks to the cacti because he has no one else nearby to talk to, and what's really funny is that they seem to understand him.

I have no idea if any of the Peanuts characters have ASD, or not. What I do know is that, when I was younger, I related to both Charley Brown and Linus.

When I was young, whenever I was sad, I would read my book, “I need all the Friends I can get”.

I am not certain why, but it made me feel better. I still have that treasured book from my childhood.

I stumbled upon this forum discussion wondering if Marcie Johnson is considered an autistic character. I have always felt very close to her, like I could understand her perfectly well. Her intellectualism, the way she often seems detached from her surroundings, her musings and the pressure and control her parents put on her to succeed (I experienced it with my mother who recently admitted she wanted to make me a little savant).

Cases could be easily made for most if not all of the characters. I picked Linus, but it was a hard choice.

I have long wished younger people had more of a familiarity with Peanuts. How else can a person understand a good natured loser? People who do not fit in but are still our friends? A bossy friend? A friend who rattles on about something you don’t care about? It was a rich social resource.

(•) Other: "Wah-wah?  Wah, wahwah wha ... wah!"

If any Peanuts character was autistic, it was the off-stage person who only spoke in trombone-like noises.
