I don't watch a whole lot of anime, but I'd say my favorite is Fullmetal Alchemist. I love the story of Edward and Alphonse Elric and how it deals with moving past tragedy, not letting disability define you, and is subtly feminist in some palces (at least with Brotherhood). Plus I'm convinced that Edward is autistic, even if it'll likely never be confirmed.
