Chris Cornell did, for me. That one hit me really hard. I got home and just poured everything into a song, and I didn't go to bed until I was finished writing it.

Ronnie James Dio hit me hard too, but in a different way, since it was cancer and not suicide. The initial shock wasn't as big, but it dragged on for a very long time. For me, it felt like what I imagine Don McLean meant when he said "the day the music died".

Owen Hart was a big one too, but I think that one was really shocking because a lot of us saw it live on TV. I heard some kids laughing about it at school the next day, and it really upset me =/

Did you know it was actually the other way around? He guest-starred on Happy Days as Mork first, and then they turned it into its own show. So Mork & Mindy is one of many Happy Days spinoffs.

I saw NatM3 at the theatre...I don't know if I need it on DVD, I didn't like it quite as much as the first two. I can't remember why.

Owen Hart's death was sad for sure. He was a great wrestler and he and his brother had great matches. Those kids didn't need to be so rude and insensitive about Owen's death. Eddie Guerrero's death was sad for me too because he was one of my favorite wrestlers and his cause of death was sad and unfortunate. It was sad that Chavo was the one that found him dead. Steve Irwin's death was sad too because I loved his show and he basically died filming an episode of his show. He did a lot for animals and he was a great person.

I know Mork and Mindy was a spin off of Happy Days. It was my favorite spin off of Happy Days.

I always thought Owen was kind of an underdog, but Bret was always my favorite wrestler. I need to watch some of my old VHS tapes =)

I heard about Eddie, but that happened after I stopped watching wrestling. IIRC, they were saying that he had been working so hard on becoming "clean" before he died, so that is kind of sad. And then, of course, there was Chris Benoit a few years after that =(

Steve Irwin...it makes me cringe just thinking about how he died >_<

I was devastated about Chris Benoit and his family. He was a great wrestler. It was unfortunate that steroids messed him up and caused him to do what he did.

Actually, they determined that it wasn't steroids that caused him to go crazy. They're not exactly sure what did it, but they believe a lot of it might've had to do with the amount of brain damage he had sustained over his career, from concussions.

I know I'll never forget this one steel cage match he was in (I want to say it was while he was in WCW?), he climbed to the top of the cage, dove into the ring to drop his signature swan dive, and missed. Face first into the mat.

He had this giant red mark on his forehead, you could just tell it messed him up something fierce.

I really enjoyed the Law and Order: SVU episode Robin was in. The episode ended with the fuzzy suggestion that his was dead, but there was no sign of his body. I always hoped the character would come back.

Law and Order: Special Victims Unit - Season 9, episode 17 - Authority

Yes steroids was one of the biggest excuses there was. Blame the wrestler instead of blaming the sport. Guess the NHL is trying to do the same thing. Disgusting.

I enjoyed it too. It really showed what a versatile actor Robin was.

I always liked him, not sure I'd say he was my favorite actor...but I mean he was popular when I was a kid, saw a lot of movies with him so it was certainly sad to hear when he died. I remember Jumanji was one of my favorite movies as a kid. My brother who is a bit younger was even more upset about his death.

Anyways not sure if you like metal, but Iron Maiden dedicated their song 'Tears of a clown' to Robin Williams.

I loved him in Jack despite all the crap that got heaped on it. The speech at the end leaves me a bawling wreck

"Because in the end, none of us have very long on this earth. Life is fleeting. If ever you're distressed, cast your eyes to the summer sky when the stars are strung across the velvety night - and when a shooting star streaks through the blackness, turning night into day... make a wish and think of me. Make your life SPECTACULAR!! ! I know I did. I made it, mom. I'm a grown up" :(

Will hafta check out that movie. Not familiar with "Jack"

**************

As a stand up comic he was second to...almost none.

It was a dead heat between him, and Richard Pryor.

His album "Friday Night at the Met" was second only to Pryor's "Live at the Sunset Strip" as the best standup comedy record of all time IMHO. Or atleast up that time (both came out in the mid eighties).

And ...yeah, I still haven't recovered from his loss either. :(

I like that song. CeeLo Green wrote a song called "Robin Williams". It's a very nice song.

That was one of my favorite stand up albums too. Richard Pryor is one funny dude too.

It only finally struck a chord with me after he died.
