King of the Hill is some of my all-time favorite shows. But NGL I have a bad feeling deep inside the reboot will be a commentary on modern issues like some animated sitcoms.

As long as its not infiltrated and used to teach me "life lessons" 0_o

"ooh that's successful and not woke... yet"

If its simply not good I just won't watch it

I'm not sure where it airs but I've seen clips on YouTube.

It's on Paramount Plus.

I see that the original series has been censored a lot. :(

You can still get the series on DVD but only a collection of episodes that Mike Judge actually considers good. You'll also get season 8 in it's entirety but there is no season one nor the second pilot where they go to a monster truck show.

According to this, an awful lot of episodes have vanished, and the ones that remain have bits cut out of them:
https://www.reddit.com/r/BeavisAndButth ... _left_off/
"Mike Judge is kind of a pretentious douch nozzle for pretending the 92 episodes that were cut are bad because a lot of them are actually some of the best episodes. Seasons 1 & 2 DID kinda suck but those 2 seasons account for like less than 16 of the missing 92 episodes from seasons 3 - 7."
Of course if we can't watch them, we can't decide for ourselves how good they are. But I strongly suspect the removals were done as a back-covering exercise in case a few stupid kids tried to copy their antics and got the creators sued. The more outlandish B & B get, the better I like them.

As for KOTH, it wasn't out by January 29th this year and doesn't seem to have arrived yet. When it happens, it looks like it'll happen on Hulu.

Also here is a model sheet for Nancy's new design. I know her new look has already been revealed but it was in a low quality photo so we get to see it better here. https://wsrrradio.com/2024/10/25/first- ... hill-2025/

They're building it and whetting our appetites. I wish they'd just make the thing and air it.

I hope they don't play it safe, I want to see hank Hill being as ignorant as he was originally.

The whole charm of the show is that he is a proud patriotic Texan whose scared of anything new. But after the shenanigans of the episode he learns to become more accepting.

In this era of MAGA, it might not go well, but those that critisise hank for his ignorance have probably never watched the show.

Looks like maybe I found rebooted Hank Hill in a rebooted Beavis and Butthead clip:

^ that makes it even more strange, hopefully it's explained this season

Looking again to the trailer hank looks a bit grumpy at the end. I'd expect nothing less.

That was my fear, too. I do hope they include the lesson episodes but at the same time not make it a political commentary just like South Park. The internet these days is always critical of any media so I won't too surprised if the drama YouTubers have something to talk about while making that sweet revenue.

^^ drama youtubers are aptly named because they find drama anywhere. I share your sentiment though.
