It's not that I don't mind her, I have just yet to have seen a purpose for her.

Well, when she can get both halves of her mind working together she can also put people through walls practically - that I think has some use though I agree its a tough call on whether or not that could happen with most people if they were somehow possessed by another personality, possibly with a much different pain threshold and attitude.

okay, that is fine then do something with her that is plot-worthy!

I love it. It starts back up again here on Monday. I love Hiro Nakamura. Yatta! I've also been following the graphic novels.

Her and Micah and D.L. play an important role in the season finale!

Yeah, I think its a little too early to decide on what's plot-worthy when the writers and creator haven't let us down yet to date.

Really? 24 episodes to date, and we're not allowed to voice our opinions? 8O

Yeah, something like that.

I'm just saying that if she seems out of place now it will make sense later far more than likely. If someone wants to say that's bullocks, that the shows complete crap, and that its never made sense since day one and this is just another example - I'll be happy to smile and nod though.

Hmmm. I'll break your little 'rule' then, and opine that Nikki / Jessica is a sad last-place as far as plot and story-advancement are concerned. It's not been made clear (in the course of an entire season) whether she's schizophrenic, bi-polar, or "super powered".

It's a sad excuse for a plot thread in an otherwise excellent show.

While I do agree that she has yet to have a real use, I do think it's clear that she has a split personality and super strength. Jessica also seems strong enough to rip people apart with her bare hands (that's what it seemed like to me, anyway). Her super strength has also been shown just by attacking people and making them go flyin', and the split personality thing is obvious.

Yeah, I think the Jeckyl & Hyde aspect actually seems to follow an archetype well enough to where, since we considered that enough of something to catapult certain characters like The Hulk or Dr. Jeckyl in League of Extraordinary Gentleman, I don't see why she'd need to morph into something huge and crazy looking for the effect not to be taken on the same merits.

Didn't they explain the split personality during the Six Months Ago Episode? If I'm remembering it correctly wasn't it something like Nikki's dad used to beat her and she split her personality into Nikki and Jessica(after her late sister) in order to protect herself. If that's true than Jessica was more in control of their ability because of the nature of that personality. As far as plot worthy I always thought that her storyline was a bit weird but still very enjoyable. I mean if nothing else I think Jessica made a great secondary villain.

Don't spoil the season finale as I've only seen 12 episodes, so it's a long way to go until the end for me.

I am not bashing any one for liking Heroes but I just wanted to say that watching the season 1 marathon on scifi with my brother was very boring. If I had had control of the remote, I would have just ff'ed to only Hayden Panettiere's scenes. I found Hiro rang false but I think Masi Oka looks like an interesting person. I thought I really liked Ali Larter but I found her scenes dragged as well.

Ditto!

We're only partway through Season 1 here in the UK (just seen the 2nd episode with Christopher Eccleston in, but I don't know what number!)

I love this show - only problem is the episodes are too short! (45 mins as we get them without any commercial breaks.)

Isn't that a good thing? It means you don't have to sit through boring ads.
