Loved it. My favourite Disney animation to date. (Although not my fav. Disney movie.) It does bear definite resemblance to "Kimba".

Good music. Good story. Excellent animation. Even a good sequel -- which is rare in American cartoons.

I didn't bother with the third Lion King movie, though.

I was raised with this movie, along with some other films, but The Lion King is a film I am not afraid at all to admit I like. Simba was always my favorite character, especially when he's a cub! ^_^

My other faves are Shenzi, Mufasa, Kiara, and Rafiki.

I have seen the second Lion King and Kiara is my favorite in that sequel. :)

I voted, "I Live by the Lion King". Because most my beliefs are from it. :)

Both my dad and I love the Lion King and the soundtrack to the movie.

I especially like this song:

I went through a big Lion King phase several years ago.

Still think it's a fantastic film. I have trouble watching the scene where Mufasa dies though.. always have.

I loved the first movie, but I have no interest in the series. I saw it in theaters a dozen times. I had the VHS, but I've since upgraded to the DVD.

I love the Broadway Musical, and I even got the opportunity to see it while it was in previews in Minneapolis 10 years ago.

same here, i love the movie, but no interest in the rest.

i cant get enough of the FIRST OPENING MOMENT

the black background, coming to life with the sunrise, and that singing zulu (not swahili..)

i could watch that moment over and over again :D

I am Titan Dak. (What a weird user name) I lost my password and couldn't revive it so I had to make a new account. As I said, Lion King was my main obsession for years and I was so obsessed with it it helped me to get diagnosed. I hate the sequels and feel as if the Brodway production raped it. Other TLK fans hate me because I am so obsessive about it. I have no desire to see it at all.

I had an unhealthy obsession with this film when it first came out!

I saw it at least 4 times during its first run in theaters (and I RARELY get to see movies during their first run!) And I went nuts trying to buy and collect as many Lion King toys and merchandise as I could. I was 10 at the time so I got to get away with being that obsessed! 8)

I know the big thing what drew me to the film was the fact that it centered around cats (being that cat lover that I am). But it was set in a unique environment that sealed the deal. The animation is amazing and not cartoony. And I absolutely LOVE the music. I have all the CDs and DVDs associated with this film.

But I still have yet to see the Broadway show.

I hear that in a few years, they plan to rerelease The Lion King in 3D (not computer animation! The kind of 3D where you wear the glasses in the theater and the animation comes off has having a more indepth affect. They're only gonna render the animation cels slightly so that it will work). That sounds so awesome...I could finally die if I got to see this and it turns out awesome!!
