Love Pixar movies. Love Ratatouille, although it wasn't my personal favourite.

(Finding Nemo and The Incredibles are.)

I liked the film, though it wasn't the best Pixar have done. That honour goes to Finding Nemo and The Incredibles, which ping-machine already bestowed.

just saw it cos son asked me to get it, and it is as someone says, sweet, very pretty to look at, but suffering from several very languishing moments , and an irritating baddie.

But ... did anyone think that the human hero, Linguini, was just a wee bit/lot like ALEX? :?:

I just like Brad Bird movies in general. I still think "The Incredibles" is both his and Pixar's best work by far, but then I like superheroes. XD

I have to say, unlike everyone else I was never all that impressed with Pixar's non Brad Bird work. I mean I liked "Toy Story" as a kid, but I never got into "A Bug's Life," thought "Cars" had a few good parts but overall kinda sucked, and I hated the living crap out of "Finding Nemo." Seriously, I could rant all day about how overrated "Finding Nemo" was. Despite some good jokes, the "plot" was incredibly repetitive and predictable, and the film was encased in more sap than the mosquitos in Jurassic Park.

Pixar are my film-making Gods. If I don't do my dissertation on either them or Disney it'll be surprising (and about LotR and PJ's awesomeness). Ratatouille was one of their better films though (better than Bug's Life, for sure, although that's one of their worst films). I loved it - the creative talent involved was absolutely awe inspiring, from writer to animator. All the stuff with the humans in was a bit annoying though, especially the romance, which was utter bull.

It's a Disney movie, what did you expect? XD All of Pixar's films are like that, except for perhaps Toy Story 1 (can't say about Cars though, never saw that one).

pet rats can live up to six years, so think carefully before you get one. if you go that route, get a very young rat, and handle it often. they are incredibly intelligent, can learn their names, can be taught tricks, are extremely social animals, and can be quite affectionate. but it's really mean to them to get one if you are not going to treat it like a dog - interact with it every day. they get bored easily....

I really second this. Apparently males are more friendly than females though. My friend had a pet rat who was adorable. She took him into school once for rag week when the dress up theme was pirates as a replacement for a parrot. XD He had a habit of climbing up/down clothes though, and they have really scratchy claws which can leave marks in interesting places.
