L, (the guy in my avatar) from Death Note, acts VERY aspie, he is brilliant (He is all 3 of the top 3 detectives in the world, he uses different names for each) but pretty much hopeless socially, he seems to hyperfocus on stuff, and he seems to have sensory issues (In one episode, he needed to read a paper, he held it by the very corners and seemed somewhat reluctant to do even that). He is extremely logical, and nearly emotionless.

Thre's only two I can think of at the moment... one is Seiji Sawamura from Midori Days. He's hopeless when it comes to social situations, he isolates himself (mostly due to his circumstances, but he does nothing to address it) and he's clueless when girls are hitting on him (recall 'First Date' and 'Shiori's Big Love Strategy')...

I don't know. I think both those traits are pretty common in anime and manga.

Got to agree with this one. And that girl is awesome anyway.

From what I've seen of Cowboy Bebop - compelling but its hard to call it, either autistic or her mom ate a book of acid while she was pregnant.

Her dad is JUST like her (hereditary condition basically). Also, she's a well-known hacker.....she's an autie :P

No way, what makes you think he is? I can't see it in him at all. Chad has more autistic traits than he does.

For some reason, thinking of Chad as an aspie/autie makes me want to go 'aww'.

You know, I've never thought about it before, but I'm pretty sure Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion has Asperger's. She's socially withdrawn, for one thing, and highly intelligent. She doesn't seem to understand metaphors or jokes, and whatever she's doing, it always seems like she's just going through the motions. Anything outside piloting Unit 00 and doing what Gendo tells her doesn't seem interest her at all.

Despite this, I still don't like her very much. XP
