Ah, Monstervision... Joe Bob Fu. There were a lot of cheesy movie based shows and tv spots at that time, I think owing to the success of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (could have just been a coincidence, dunno).
I could list endless unintentionally hilarious moments (such as the unmasking of Darth Sidius... "NNNo, NNNNNNo!! !") but I have to work to remember good bits of bad movies... I mean, there are a LOT of mediocre movies with good parts or points or performances. Once in a while a really bad one has one scene that just kicked heinie. I was watching Starman a couple of days ago for the first time in around 25 years, and needless to say, it's suffered from time. The music is all Casio keyboard stuff, the sound effects are laughable, and the camera shots sorta match the music and sound effects. But it has Karen Allen (okay) and Jeff Bridges (also okay, but very funny in this movie). Just about every line he delivers is hilarious for the first half hour, because the alien who had taken human form is trying to learn English.
The area where we have to find redeeming qualities is in kid movies, like Hercules. The part where he fights the hydra is pretty good, especially when he slides, screaming, down the hydra's necks, and when he brings his fists together and smashes the cliffside.
