I prefered Begins too, It was more uplifting and positive, it had a much more atmospheric setting (the narows, the asylum, the mountains), more involving story with Ras hunting him, and batman seemed a lot cooler and scarier (like the "swear to me" part). I just cared about him more in begins. I did like forever though. I like all the films, evern the 4th.

Ras Al Ghul doesn't die beacuse of the Lazarus pits. Just becuase he wasn't in the next film doesn't mean he's dead.

And I don't think Two-Face was dead either, I'm sure I read somewhere that he was going to be in the third film with Ledger too.

http://qntm.org/?darkknight - my review of this film.

i think he is dead because the Lazarus pit cannot fit the realistic tones of Christopher Nolans films

I thought it was really good, a massive improvement on Batman Begins. Heath Ledger definitely steals the film and its a shame the Joker can't return now in future installments (it would take a monumental effort by another actor to top Ledger's performance). Who would you want to see as the Penguin in Part 3? I'd go for either Philip Seymour Hoffman or Jack Black

Timothy Spall would make a good Penguin

The Dark Knight was a bit boring, as many agree the Joker was excelent, not the classic idea but brilliant, I saw a guy at a convention dressed up as the Joker dressed perfectly as the nurse, and just brought a smile to my face. I enjoyed the action in the movie and some of the story leading to Two face was good, aswell as a little bit on the company, but the whole Two face thing felt rushed as if to get him quickly through the movie, he didn't do much except go on a big rampage. Sure we saw some psychology of him, but the character I found myself paying most attention to was the much more entertaining Joker, as the only thing Two face had going for him was a bit of the coin thing.

I really liked The Dark Night. I thought it was an excellent movie, and I wasn't even all that big a fan of Batman before seeing it.
