I think I like Farscape more than I like SG-1 (I've only watched a few eps of either)

I KNOW I like Firefly more than either of em though :D

anyone else think the original Stargate movie was cool?

...yeh

i prefer the series thogh, to just the film on its own...

i think its quite common for aspies to be in favour of a continuity rather than sumat reelly short, cos that way the plot can get much more detailed

not quite sure why that seems to be more common in aspies than nts, but it does

Theres a wiki on the klingon language and probably some Star Wars languages.

aYeh i notised the klingon one.

As for Star Wars, theres probably a Huttese one, possibly Bothan and Yuuzhan Vong. Im not reelly sure what other Star Wars languages they coud rite about thogh.

In fact, Im not even sure if theres any source material that contains any information about the Bothan language that they coud use (apart from the word ar'krai, which meens a tipe of holy war that they declared on the Yuuzhan Vong after Borsk Fey'lya was killed at the (Vong War) first Battle of Coruscant in Star by Star (Coruscants been conquered, re-conquered and attempted to be conquered to many times to keep track of lol)

The movie contains some info that will help people understand the series a bit better. Personally, I think Teal'c just makes the series better than the movie for me though. Also, check out the book "Chariots of the Gods?" by Erich von Daniken which is kinda what its based off of. Stargate is kinda like firefly/serenity in the way that it mixes sci-fi with modern times.

Anybody into Atlantis? It took me awhile but Im finally getting into it. SG-1 is still my favorite by far though.

I love Atlantis. Personally I think the Wraith are way cooler than the Goa'uld but then again, Season 9's Priors and Ori are even cooler (more Ancient-y).

The wraith are cool. I just think the main characters arent as cool as SG-1.

It only makes sense that there would be a Goa'uld in Atlantis considering they're world conquerers. I'd like to see a war between the Wraith and the Goa'uld myself.

I love stargate! I was a little slow on the uptake with this thread though. :) Bought my boyfriend season 6 box set and then realised there were season 7 and 8 box sets 8O *glares at shops for only have season 6* ... the plan is to have the whole set, eventually.

I just got season 1 now. Its got the 90 minute or so pilot that explains alot about Teal'c so its good to have it. Christmas is coming up, so Ill have some more seasons. BTW, your boyfriend is lucky to have a girl thats into SG-1. The girl I just started dating is really into theatre and dancing. Oh well, shes got the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 DVDs and thats cool.
