Some examples:
I don't have a television, but I have lots of old series on DVD:

The Persuaders!
Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) (1969 version)
The Champions
Airwolf
Life On Mars
The Avengers
Man in a Suitcase
The Baron
The Saint (starring Roger Moore)
The Equalizer
Goodnight Sweetheart
Sherlock Holmes (starring Jeremy Brett)
The Benny Hill Show
Dad's Army
The Morecambe and Wise Show
The Two Ronnies
Sykes

Just realised - I've put a couple of modern ones on here too - I copied the list straight from my Myspace profile, which would explain why I've randomly put 'I don't have a television, but I have lots of old series on DVD:' as well. Silly me

Ah...comfort TV! All such good choices!

Here's mine:

Mary Tyler Moore
Brady Bunch
Alfred Hitchcock
McHale's Navy
Twilight Zone
Bob Newhart Show (not the one in Vermont - the one with Suzanne Pleshette)
Night Gallery
Get Smart
Streets of San Francisco
MASH
Taxi

Occassionally - if i'm feeling particularly overloaded - Boomerang Network.

Oh - I forgot one of my favorite favorites!

The Dick Van Dyke Show - especially the scenes at his work with Rose Marie and Morey Amsterdam. The chemistry is perfect!

The old Knight Rider from the 80's

Star Trek the old series

Star Trek TNG

He-Man (the old cartoon)

Tennage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the old cartoon)

Here's a short summary how I feel about this also:

I look at the above sometimes. TMNT makes me feel more happy. I can watch it endlessly over and over again without feeling tired on it.

Star Trek TNG makes me feel more strict and my inner feelings of going and getting that Earl Grey tea always feels a bit stronger, although I like it anyway.

He-Man is filled with good ethics and combat moral which often get's me more motivated to do different things which often can be experienced as a bit boring, like for instance cleaning the rooms etc etc..

Star Trek the old series takes me back in time and the sci-fi feeling makes me feel a bit inspired and watching Mr Spock again with all he's speeches about logic often get's me in a better mood, I think.

How old is old? If we're talking at least 30 years old (in terms of creation), then I enjoy Doctor Who, the Quatermass serials, Monty Python's Flying Circus, and The Prisoner.
