Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but why do you like the whole camp side of Batman and then criticise the whole dark and brooding side when it's clearly obvious you haven't read most of the graphic novels i listed?

Not every Bat-film has to have ridiculous costumes, cheesy lines and homoerotic undertones. Joel Schumacher has made some decent movies (Lost Boys and Falling Down to name a few) but his vision of Batman just embarrssingly squatted all over the screen-verse Burton had so carefully crafted.

Even the short fan-trailer Batman: Dead End where he meets several Aliens and Predators is better than Schumacher's vision.

first, go to grammar school, that is not how you spell favorite superhero. second, the fact that you refuse to read the comics means you are not a fan at all. movies aren't everything.

agreed. you have no idea about the dark side of batman.

batman is dark, brooding, and tragic. the 60's series was bad and unfaithful, but schumacher raped it then took a big s**t all over it. thank g-d for nolan's films

the fan film was actually pretty cool. Burton's movies were far from faithful, and really not that good, but at least it respected batman's dark side.

Burton's always been the one for fantasy films, Returns was darker than it's predecessor.

Fair enough, im not going to moan like Jamesy though. With him it's just the same old gibberish of blaspheming the Dark Knight and Nolan himself.

What a coincidence. I just saw a pic of Batman's nemesis, Ra's Al Ghul, meeting with Jamesy's own nemesis. link here

Burtons bat films were better than nolans becasue he mixed dark humour with serious. Nolan just uses serious and nothing else thats why his bat films are boring to watch.

Joel Scuhamers batman movies like batman forever offered you escapisim while Nolans is just too realistic and worldly.

What I am really trying to say is that where batman is concerned sometimes you need to combine the camp aspect with the serious side of batman to achieve the best result so it will appeal to a bigger audience and age group.

Think about it if a kid watched Nolasn batman adaptions he would most likely fall asleep after the first 5 minutes. While batman forever used its colourful settings, humour and special effects to keep children interested. Even burtons films to an extent used its dark humours, great lines and memorable characters to keep children interested.

All that bale does as batman is snarl and grunt. George Clooney, Kilmer and Keaton all used thier intellect and charisma to make batman more enjoyable and a character we can relat too.

you never read the comics, so you don't know what you are talking about. all you are doing is talking out your ass.

Batman IS NOT made for children. AT ALL. I don't care about children when it comes to batman. BTW both of my brothers (ages 14, and 9) loved The Dark Knight and thought 1989 was boring, me included. Why would you talk about children. Aren't you 20? I guess not.

Kilmer was an ok batman. Clooney as batman was clooney in a nipple suit. Bale was the best live-action batman, IMO. but conroy was the best batman ever.

Well I am an adult and the Dark Knight put me to sleep. Think what would happen if a child watched it?

Although batman and robin is considered an embarresment Clooney did add some charisma to batman. Could have been a lot more potential were clooney is concerned but sadly the franchise died for a long time after Batman and Robin.

I am not talking out of my ass either I giving some very accurate and well thought of ideas and opinons and I am sure plently of other batman fans would agree wtih I am saying.
