I re-watched "Devil's Rejects" night before last.... last one I saw in a theater was "True Grit" I think.

I'm not sure what this says about me but I think one of the best romantic comedies I've ever seen is an Ingmar Bergman film.

I just watched "Smiles of a Summer Night". It is slyly erotic, very funny and very perceptive about how we fool ourselves in love. "Wild Strawberries" is my favorite film by Bergman, but "Smiles...." is really entertaining and fun and is one I'll definitely watch again. And I think I have a crush on Harriet Anderson.

I Spit on Your Grave (remake)

Well. I haven't seen the original, so I can't compare the two. But this was pretty gruesome. I didn't enjoy the first hour too much, dull, then brutal violence. The last half hour of revenge was almost worth it. Its a rare horror film where the victim gets her own back so well. I may have over identified a little bit too much with this one.

I saw this one yesterday: Image

But it's all in French with no subtitles

It's a slow film and it wouldn't please everyone.

My wife and I went to see Thor today for Mother's Day. It doesn't compare with other Marvel superhero movies like The Hulk, or the two Iron Man movies, but it was a fun movies.

We Are What We Are.

A bit grim. Mexican cannibals, but not particularly exciting cannibals. More of a social commentary film than a horror film.

It left me feeling a bit confused and depressed. No change there then!

Saw a Chinese film called Red Cliff. IT was pretty damn good, it reminded me of other epics like Lord of the Rings

Thor

Excellent action movie. Lots of cliches and pretty predictable, but still lots of fun.

3D was not worth the extra money, like most other 3D movies I've seen. Why can't I learn this by now?

Fido

One boy and his Scottish pet zombie. In fifties America/Canada. All very shiny and surreal.
