Saw Hello Dolly (aka the movie that was in WALL-E) and Son Of Kong on TiVO last night. Going to try and watch Boys Town (1938) and American Splendor tonight thanks to my Netflix.

I just saw Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and it was very good. Possibly my favorite of all four! 8)

Pulled another triple-header last night:

-American Splendor (2003): I can see why people want to make a claim for this being one of the best comic book films of all time. Awesome screenplay and some entertaining characters played by Paul Giamatti and Hope Davis.
-Boys Town (1938): Old Spencer Tracy and Mickey Rooney film where Tracy won his 2nd Best Actor Oscar. Not a bad film.
-Awakenings (1990): Interesting hospital drama with Robin Williams (whose character had a ton of Aspie-like traits) and Robert DeNiro. Fairly understated uplifting film IMO.

Flight of the Living Dead.

Think Snakes on a Plane, only with zombies and less laughs. 3/10

Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides. Better than the 3rd one and probably better than the 2nd one. The 1st one will always be the best.

I was messing around on Netflix and came across a 1990 movie called Rockula. It is about a dorky vampire named Ralph who is cursed to keep falling in love with a girl named Mona who keeps getting reincarnated every 22 years after being killed by a pirate with a peg leg who wields a ham bone.

This time around, Ralph wants to end the curse and win Mona's heart forever. She is in a rock band this this time, so he makes up his own rock band to impress her. He calls it Rockula, hence the title of the movie.

Ralph is the cutest vampire I have ever seen, both physically and personality-wise. His sweet and dorky behavior beats Edward Cullen's angst any day.

I really enjoyed this movie and I'm so glad I found it! I highly recommend this movie if you like 80s music, vampires and/or are a fan of cult/camp classics.

Just saw Cleopatra (the 1963 one). Jeez, that one was a marathon. No wonder Fox almost went bankrupt filming this.

Same here, but preferably in a move theater showing
the new movie in 2D NOT 3D.

I saw Kung Fu Panda 2 yesterday.

Liked it, laughed at the points when laughing was needed.
