What movies have you seen recently?

Saw a movie that was out recently (but I think limited theater release) called The Joneses starring David Duchovny and Demi Moore. They are part of a family that really isn't a family and makes friends with everyone in the neighborhood and town to advertise everything from the clothes they wear, to the food they eat, to new phones, golf clubs, video games...only they start to have problems that a "real" family would have. Highly recommended for people who like that drama/dark comedy genre. Kind of like a less intense American Beauty.

Also saw all of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation for the first time. Would give it a solid 8/8.5 out of 10.

Two films today,

Monsters. Quite awesome, considering its tiny budget, ad lib acting and use of lots of non actor extras. Set in Mexico/US borderland, giant aliens have infected the area. Two strangers have to make their way from Mexico to the US across the infected zone. But it's not a normal alien flick, it has much more atmosphere and feeling. 8/10

Taxi Driver. First time I've watched this film. Jodie Foster is amazing, so is Robert de Niro. Very good. 9/10

Arsenic and Old Lace,it's hilarious,and Cary Grant is marvelous and dashing as ever.It's a true screwball comedy,sooo funny!

Bad Teacher


hella funny and the whole audience was laughing.
( there was a 6 yr old sitting one seat over from me, i noticed...and a few other kids under 10 at that movie. oh well, i had fun)

Over the weekend, I rented and watched
a copy of Harry Potter & the Order of The Phoenix.

Not bad...at least 7.5/10.

I am going to see the HP midnight showing on July 15th with my friends!! !! !! So excited!! !

Last night I watched a random movie about an italian man who cheats on his wife, she tries to shoot him (along with others) they go to jail, he changes his ways, bails her out and they fall in love again....sorta creepy, but a little bit funny.

I wish I could see bad teacher, but it is rated R, and I don't watch R-rated movies...

Gypsy Caravan,which is SO GOOOOD.I love that kind of music.

Star Trek (2009). I loved it! Made me adore Spock even more than I already did.

The Turning Point...and also Exit Through the Gift Shop.

Ip Man 2

Excellent martial arts movie about Ip Man, Bruce Lee's Wing Chun instructor. The movie was about Ip Man's struggles in setting up a martial arts school in Hong Kong. A little more wire work than I would've liked, but still good. This movie seemed to have more action than the first movie, which was about Ip Man in China during the Japanese occupation of the 1930s.

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist tonight, The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last night and Radio Days two nights ago.
