The only boring person here is you, Jamesy. There's nothing wrong with embracing the camp side of Batman, it's just the vast majority of Bat=fans PREFER the dark, brooding and tragic vigilante with sociopathic tendencies who spends his night beating criminals up in a corrupt city. That's why Nolan's versions have been successful, comic book flicks aren't for kids anymore, y'know.

Fair game and all, but the whole light-hearted side gets tedious over time. Batman and Robin is littered with cliched catchphrases courtesy of Arnie and his dreadful ice-puns, Uma Thurman looks like a drag queen as Poison Ivy, Bane is reduced to a grumbling brainless sidekick (What happened to the comic version where he broke Batman's back?!?!) and Clooney is just a wooden Batman.

Telling Batman to lighten up is a bit like telling Captain America to emigrate

Not every fan will like the serious side. Have you done a survey of every batman fan on this planet? No you haven't have you?

Its silly to say every fan will like the gritty batman. You can't just be arrogent and say that without any evidence to suppourt your claims.

Maybe i don't give a toss, at the end of the day we all have differing opinons. But saying Batman and Robin is even remotely better than Dark Knight is like saying Alien: Resurrection is better than Aliens or Terminator Salvation is better than Terminators 1 and 2.....

Doubtful, how many old folks homes do you know have Dark Knight on rotation? Answer: A big fat ZILCH! So im sorry if it doesn't measure up to your standards, go back to "Holy gosh Batman!" and Adam West in tights. I'm sticking with the dark, brooding side.
