Cristiana monaca indemoniata, a.k.a. Our Lady of Lust, a.k.a. Loves of the Nympho, 1972

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069929

A cute Italian nunsploitation film.

Quote:
A sexually liberated young woman vows to become a nun after a near-death experience. She struggles to contain her urges in the convent, and ends up engaging in sexual relations, before leaving the nunnery and falling into a life of sin.

Quote:
to paraphrase Hunter S. Thompson, I wouldn't recommend this kind of unrepentantly sleazy, morally degenerate, sacrilegious trash to anyone, but it's always worked for me.

Last night we watched two movies:

The Addams Family [2019]
<=>"Think your family is weird? Think again."

We'd seen this movie before and liked it enough I added the sequel to our collection, as well.

The Addams Family 2 [2021]
<=>"A sequel. How original."

We agreed: We liked both movies and hoped there'd be another sequel.

I am not ecstatic with the style of their animation, however. It is adequate but... They appear to have been trying to make the characters look like they did in Charles Addams' comics, the problem is the characters were created in 2-dimensional comics and these movies try to give them depth...and I think it is awkward.

I think the animation style used in the Doctor Who reconstructions would've worked better.

No Sex Please, We're British (1973)

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070450/

A cute comedy, with Ronnie Corbett (Mr. Cuteness himself).

Quite different from the contemporaneous Continental European movies with sex themes.

We Need To Talk About Kevin.

Very disturbing movie in which a grieving mother reflects on her life with a son who becomes a mass murderer, and how the community's rage turns on her.

Gore Vidal: The United States Of Amnesia.

Documentary of the life, art, and political activism of American author Gore Vidal, focusing on his open homosexuality when such a thing nearly destroyed his career, and his relationships both personal and political. The way he made his nemesis, William F. Buckley, lose his cool on air, is hilarious!

He certainly was. But he appears saintly compared to his political descendants, today.
