Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey.

Horror/comedy, where the anthropomorphic animals of the 100 Acre Wood have turned feral, and have learned to hate humans, after Christopher Robin had left for college, leaving them abandoned. After he returns with his new bride, she is murdered by a full grown and homicidal Pooh and Piglet, who then take Christopher captive. From there, they go on a killing spree of the humans nearby.
In regard to the quality of this movie... it's what you'd expect, but I doubt anyone thought it would be high art!

Will You Love Me Tomorrow

A BBC made-for-TV movie from 1987. It's not that great, but it's interesting nonetheless, as it's undoubtedly (loosely) based on the case of Mary Bell, a girl who carried out two callous murders in Newcastle aged just eleven in 1968. The film is actually set in the mid-1980s and the 'girl' (played by Joanne Whalley) seems to be in her early 20s, so it doesn't match up chronologically, but that's by the by.

Late night watch
Fast X (2023)
It was a mistake watching it. They spent the first half of the movie trying to establish the lead as a family man, when they've covered that pretty well in the other movies, then the second half was, how many explosions can we fit into 2 hours?
The dialogue was weak, the acting was shallow. The story was thin and forgettable. 1/10. Would not recommend to anyone

The Outwaters.

Found footage horror movie in which four friends go out into the Mojave desert to film a video, when they experience terror and death that might be unworldly - - or maybe just the delusions of one of their party that snaps.
Starts out slow, and after watching it, I found myself asking: "What the hell did I just watch?" But it's a good "what the hell did I just watch."

Yesterday, every channel seemed to be showing either: true crime; horror; dangerous animals like sharks; or cancer documentaries.

So I scrolled through and found Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. What a silly film, totally unrealistic, but it was so much fun to see it again!

Sleep No More.

A group of medical students and a mad doctor (who doesn't realize she's mad) attempt to "cure" sleep. When their test subject commits suicide and the doctor is indefinitely suspended, they decide to conduct the experiment on themselves. Approaching 200 hours without sleep, they realize there are unseen entities we were never supposed to know about that now threaten their very lives.
Decent horror movie.

Four short films by Wes Anderson on Netflix. All Roald Dahl stories.

The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar (2023)

The Swan (2023)

The Rat Catcher (2023)

Poison (2023)

Roald Dahl wrote such interesting stories.
I found all four films and stories to be delightful.

Last night we watched:

Ghostbusters [2016] the extended cut
<=>"Who you gonna call?"

It is a real shame this fun reboot did not spawn another Ghostbusters franchise. It was very respectful of the original franchise and I would've loved seeing two Ghostbusters franchises going in parallel with shared cameos and cross-references.

Oh, in case the previous paragraph doesn't convey this:

Good flick! I like it! R E C O M M E N D E D I like it!

If I was in any way disappointed it would be I thought Chris Hemsworth's part was exaggerated and overdone . I assume he was supposed to be some kind of eye candy for the ladies.

 Um...somehow my bride, however, seemed to enjoy looking at him. Go figure...

I've tried to fight the temptation to mention this, but I can't.

This film was infamous for starting the trends of "woke" films and gaslighting critics and audiences with the whole if you don't like this film, then you're sexist message.

Um...so a film focusing on female leads is "woke"? Then what is a film focused on male leads?
