Just watched The Upside. It was very good.

I watched it on Hulu.

Wolf Garden.

First rate, genuinely spooky werewolf movie from Britain. The story is told from the perspective of a man renting a secluded cabin who is mourning his missing wife, in which the story is told out of sequence, and there is little distinction between his dreams and reality.

Just finished Wolf Garden.

It was very good. Things I noticed: Excellent use of sound and absence of sound. Wonderful photography. Well considered filters. YouTube has a channel called UglyMcGregor and he has tutorials about recording with digital cameras, and achieving various settings that subtly affect color and how light is recorded. For instance, he has one about making digital recording look like photographic film. The photography reminded me of that. And the lighting was well done as well. It always looked natural.

Now just add everything Kraichgauer said. The only adjectives I would add are suspenseful (scary), and mysterious.

I watched it on The Roku Channel, but it is also available on Tubi TV

The Loneliest Boy In The World.

A socially inhibited (autistic?) teenage boy, who had accidentally caused the death of his mother, is threatened with return to a psychiatric hospital if he doesn't make friends. So, he robs graves to bring home the corpses, which become his zombie family.
Very enjoyable horror/comedy.

Again, Kraichgauer gave a very good description.

I watched it on Showtime. I added it to my Sling subscription for this month. After it ended, I ordered the DVD. At the end of the month, I'll cancel Showtime.

There is so much that is funny about this film. To quote Kraichgauer - "Very enjoyable horror/comedy."
I'm watching the credits. Ben Miller is in this movie! He played DI Richard Poole in the series Death in Paradise. I did not recognize him, even when he wasn't in dead man makeup.

Child's Play.

After watching the Chucky TV series with our daughter, it struck me she had never seen the original movie! So we watched it last night. Always a classic.

Sword of Sherwood Forest (1961)

Hammer's Robin Hood film, starring Richard Greene in the lead role, also Peter Cushing as the Sheriff of Nottingham and one Sarah Branch as Maid Marion. Also features an appearance by the appalling Oliver Reed, who was in a number of early-to-mid-1960s Hammer films. Just about watchable, no more.

A Nightmare On Elm Street II: Freddy's Revenge.

Not a great movie, but almost anything with Freddy Krueger is fun!

Guardians of the galaxy vol 3 (2023) 8/10
Amazing soundtrack
Superb acting
Dialogue feels like it came straight out of a comic book, which is fantastic imo

Halloween II.

I'm convinced this had been made solely for the money. Forgettable.

He's Watching.

A brother and a sister, who make their own home movies, are shut in alone during an epidemic, when they realize they aren't alone (and it isn't human, and it's been filming them).
Shoestring budget production, but very unnerving.
