Civil War (2024) - this is a movie about photojournalists traveling to DC during a fictional near-future American civil war. It was excellent, best movie I've seen for a while. Very stressful though.

How was it?

Despicable Me 4

Very funny and very entertaining film for a quick 90 minutes. Steve Carell was fantastic once again as former supervillain Gru as was Will Ferrell as new villain Maxime.

Long Legs

This was a psychological horror film about a female FBI agent (Maika Monroe giving a great performance) who may have the power of clairvoyance in her taking down the titular serial killer played by Nicolas Cage. Just brace yourself should you see this film. I did enjoy this film despite having to look away during some parts.

Alien: Romulus

I liked that the android this time is programmed to be the main character's brother. The story could have been done better, but at least the human-android sibling relationship gave it some heart and uniqueness. I wanted more of the xenomorphs, more tension, more blood.

Bunraku

The slick directing and visual style give it a fun, dreamlike quality, where a cowboy who doesn't use a gun teams up with a Japanese swordsman. It's more interested in cool atmosphere and fight scenes than emotion but it does those things well.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

Telling the backstory of the heroine of the las Mad Max movie, of how she had been abducted by a wasteland warlord, Dementus, who had murdered her mother, and how she had become associated with another warlord, Immortan Joe, when she seeks her revenge.
Much better than critics had claimed.

Futureworld (1976) on Comet TV

I prefer Westworld.
Although, Allen Ludden appears at the very beginning of the film.
Allen Ludden was the host of the 1960s/1970s Password, and was Betty White's husband until he died.

A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001) on Comet TV

Possibly my favorite film, or definitely in the top group of my favorite films.

Long Legs. It was pretty good. Had a lot of plot holes though.

I watched Honeymoon, a 2014 horror film about a couple staying in a remote cabin for their honeymoon, and then strange things start happening. I thought it was quite watchable, although the ending was nothing special.

What is your opinion about Nicolas Cage's performance?

Hi! I'm new here so I guess this is my first "official" non introduction post. I watched the movie "Collateral" made in 2004 with Tom Cruise today and saw it when it came out in theatres 20 years ago. It's one of my favorite Tom Cruise movies. The cinematography, the characters, the story everything about it is amazing. Love Vincent's (Tom Cruise's character) suit too in the movie. Jamie Foxx was also incredible and I absolutely love the film score. Highly highly recommend it.

My wife and I saw it when it first played in the theater. We liked it.

That's awesome. I saw it with my best friend while still in high school at the time. I am just amazed at the cinematography. The 20th anniversary 4K Steel case came out a week ago and i'm probably going to pick it up.

Here was a cool youtube video I found not too long ago. I think it encapsulates the beauty of the film pretty well in terms of the cinematography. Just an amazing film 8)
