Last night we watched:

Guns of the Apocalypse [2018]
<=>"A lone gunman must bring hope to a nuclear ravaged hellscape!"

IMDb calls it a "post-apocalyptic-spaghetti-Midwestern". And remember it is in the Mihmverse.

Set your expectations accordingly. And with appropriate expectations, it is quite watchable.

I recently watched this, as well. I enjoyed it.

We're both working our way through the Mihmverse.

I think we started sooner but you are going faster. My bride is ADHD and has a busy schedule.

But I think that, overall, we're all saying good things about the Mihmverse films.

Super Zeroes (2025)
view from Rifftrax app on Roku. The program itself I purchased from Rifftrax.

The Amazing Spiderman (1977)
Season 1, episode 1 - Spiderman
I remember watching this show when I was a senior in high school.

Dr. Strange (1978)
Jessica Walter played the villain in this made for TV movie. I mention her because some may know her from any number of television and TV roles. The only reference that is made about her is when she is trying to seduce Dr. Strange to get rid of his power or join her. I think it is Bill Corbett that says something like "wait till I tell Archer Dr. Strange slept with his mom." That's a paraphrased quote. In my notes, I wrote "Lucille Bluth" because I could not remember her actual name right away.

Captain America II (1979)
A made for TV movie with Reb Brown as Caption America, again. This was a sequel.
Christopher Lee was the villain.
A young Stanley Kramer, who portrayed Adrian Monk's psychiatrist, was also a villain.

The Incredible Hulk Returns (1988)
Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno return in this made for TV film.
I think this is Thor's first appearance on the small or big screen.

The Trial of the Incredible Hulk (1989)
Two things to note. This was Matt Murdock/Dare Devil's first live action appearance on the small or big screen. It was also The Kingpin's first appearance as well. The Kingpin was played by John Rhys-Davies (Lord of the Rings trilogy - Gimli)
Third thing of note. This contained Stan Lee's first cameo in a Marvel movie.

Fantastic Four (1994)
This one is complicated. It was made, but never released. I don't want to get into why, because comic book historians have two different stories, and have two points of view about the value of this film (best adaption to load of trash). Star Wars people can be just as polarizing. Good for them. Live a good life.
I've seen the movie, at a time when I heard is was a low budget bomb. I did not think it was bad.

Summation: I enjoyed all of these little peaks at the Marvel film universe. I half tuned out the riffing. Next time I watch it, I'll pay more attention.

Yes, you started first, and it was your reviews/comments that got me interested in the Mihmiverse.
The rest is blathering...
I probably can go faster. I live alone, and am also retired. However, as much as I enjoy binging through lists of films or television shows, I can easily get distracted. For instance, after watching Queen of Snakes, I decided I should watch My Life As A Dog. It is in the player waiting for me to press play, but I got distracted by Six Feet Under and My Perfect Stranger. I'm so glad I'm done with Six Feet Under. I don't think I ever want to watch that again, but who knows.

Yes, I personally think the Mihmiverse films are great!

We're (in some cases, I'm) currently going through the Mihmverse, anything that I can construe as being on the theme of current U.S. politics, Roger Corman, Sledge Hammer! [1986–1988], and The Outer Limits [1963–1965].

And, after I brought it to my Bride's attention, she really seems to enjoy Carl the Collector [2024– ]. But I deny having a toothbrush collection; I had merely accumulated a reserve of toothbrushes...I got into that practice in the 70's when my toothbrushes often broke...general stress in life was definitely a factor!

My Life as a Dog (1985)
watch on Blu-Ray

I've written three version for this post. Nothing has been suitable.

Suffice it to say this is one of my favorite movies. It has been since 1988 when I first saw in on a library's VHS tape, dubbed in English. I must have watched that tape, I don't know how many times. A lot! I have not seen it dubbed in English since. I remember I gave the tape to the director of our (small) department, thinking he would like it. He was a dog lover and did not believe that the Soviet space dog Laika died in space. He thought she came safely back to Earth. Honestly, I only new what the movie said. She lived only until her doggie bag ran out of food.

I like the bittersweet nature of the film, the sadness, and the joy in the film. I like the colorful Swedish characters and the backdrop of the times. The main character Ingemar is a sweet and sometimes troubled boy put into all kinds of situations.

I enjoyed this watching this today very much. There were subtleties with the mother I did not remember. After the movie, I watched the extras, and I learned that the director, Lasse Hallström, directed all of ABBA's music videos. Uh. Then checking IMDB, I learned he's made several films I've seen since coming to the U.S. Lasse said his is still trying to make a film as good as My Life as a Dog. It reminded me M. Night Shyamalan and The Sixth Sense.

Oppenheimer. I didn't like it the first two times I tried to watch it. I just couldn't pay attention to the raid switching of scenes. However, I'm medicated for ADHD now and gave it another shot. It was a pretty good movie! The story was interesting apart from the bomb. It was the socio-political matters that made it. I loved it.

Sherlock A Case of Evil (2002)
Rifftrax with Mary Jo Pehl and Bridget Nelson

James D'Arcy
Gabirelle Anwar
Vincent D'Onofrio

James plays Sherlock. Vincent plays Moriarty.

I enjoy the riffing by Mike, Bill, and Kevin, but Mary Jo and Bridget have a different feel to their riffs. The guys can sometimes (sometimes) be a bit snarky. Bridget and Mary Jo do not come off like that. One can imagine them sitting on a couch with a large bowl of popcorn and commenting. It's more conversational.

Struan Rodger is also in the film. I've seen him in several British series. Red hair, pale complexion, dark eyes. He has a distinctive look. I can recall seeing him Game, Set, Match with Ian Holmes. Prime Suspect 3 with Helen Mirren. Poirot.

Trilogy Of Terror.

1970's made for TV three story anthology based on stories by the late, great Richard Matheson.

Gothic.

Partially fictionalized movie about how Marry Godwinson (Shelley) was inspired to write her novel, Frankenstein, while spending the summer with her future husband Percy Shelley and her half sister Claire, who were guests at the Swiss home of their host Lord Byron, and his doctor and biographer, John Polidori.
Fun movie with wonderful overacting!

Repo the Genetic Opera: For some reason, I liked this movie even though it was gorey, and those movies usually don't work for me.

Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo (1944) I heard about this movie so many times but never seen it. It's about "The Doolittle Raid" in 1942 over Tokyo. It's a good movie.
