The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Taking place in what appears to be an alternate 1960's, the Fantastic Four fights against the planet eating Galactus, who says he will only spare the earth if Reed and Sue Richards surrender their baby boy, Franklin, to him.
Pretty decent superhero flick.

Last night we watched:

Jurassic Park [1993]
<=>"Life finds a way."

If we're going to watch the newest movie in the franchise I want to re-watch all the movies in the franchise!

Yes. It will certainly be worth your time. It doesn't rely on a lot of gore, but still violent.

Ellie Fanning (she's the younger sister of Dakota Fanning) gave great performances in dual roles.

The Strangers: Part One.

Reboot of The Strangers franchise. Not bad for a mindless splatter flick.

I watched Amélie last night. I’ve seen it before, but it’s been quite a few years.

Last night we watched:

Tarantula [1955]
<=>"Monster Spider...crawling terror 100 feet high!"

Fortunately, giant tarantulas are not common in the area where we live.

Last night we watched:

BOLT [2008]
<=>"Fully Awesome. Ridonculous. Let It Begin." Not a typo!

We both enjoyed it.

How the Gringo Stole Christmas (2023)
A Christmas film with George Lopez who plays a dad whose daughter comes home with her gringo boyfriend. Dad is a teeny bit over protective.
I enjoyed it.

Family Ornament (2023)
on Tubi TV
It was a recommended/automatically played next movie.
I enjoyed it.
It was one part Hallmark Christmas and one part Goosebumps. Does that equal Lifetime? No. It's more like SyFy Christmas.

Frankenstein.

While visually spectacular, this was hardly a loyale adaption. For something closer to the book, I suggest the Robert De Niro version. The monster was properly sympathetic, which was probably the best thing in the movie.

Last night we both watched:

The Lost World: Jurassic Park [1997]
<=>"Something has survived"

Perhaps an indication that the movie is more about "story" than "sensationalism":

A Tyrannosaurus rex on the loose in San Diego is a significant event in the movie...
but not important enough to show in the trailer.

A good movie telling a story.

Jurassic Park III [2001]

Still a strong series of movies.
