Good advice!

I'm Autistic. Interacting with people is not one of my strong-points. A coping technique I have cultivated is humor. I find that interactions with other people often go better if I can get a chuckle from them.

But, as Kirk implies, humor isn't necessarily a natural talent. You may have to cultivate it.

Note: I am not talking about every conversation being a comedy routine. I am talking about getting an amused smile from someone early in the conversation to make the rest of the conversation easier.

Thank you! I had this quote stuck in my head this morning. I could see the scene in my head. It stuck with me ever since I first seen it .You said it brilliantly as well that it's something we have to cultivate. Like small talk or even socialization. It's not something that's natural.
