Fantastic Mr. Fox - very nice. Funny how they all keep changing size throughout the film. I liked the relationship between Ash and Kristofferson.

The dialogue and lack of music in the film kinda reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite for some reason. Had a very surreal and almost awkward vibe to it.

The Machinist - Love that film. Really uncomfortable viewing, in a good way....

Dark Knight Rises - Bliss. Bane was sweeeeeeeet!

the Fantastic Mr. Fox and the Dark Knight Rises are both awesome.

As for me:

TrollHunter - fun little Norwegian lost-footage film about a group of teenagers making a documentary for their school and meeting up with a troll hunter. It's more comedy than horror, but a lot of fun.

Lars and the Real Girl - loved this one. In a way the main character is very relatable. Ryan Gosling plays a dude who has some issues to work out and starts believing a Realdoll he ordered is his real - as in living - girlfriend. His friends and family are hesitant at first, but try to support him.

Silent Hill - not great, but I'm a fan of the games and I love the visuals.

Glad you & your wife liked it; I plan on seeing The Dark Knight Rises tomorrow.

"Le Harve" by Aki Kaurismaki - this film is very much in his style of deadpan, almost humorless humor. This film is a bit more political than his usual stuff and, while touching, I feel the social politics of it leaves me a bit less interested (even though I agree with his political point of view.)

At any rate, don't exepect "Leningrad Cowboys Go America" because "Le Harve" is more in keeping with films like "Man without a Past" or "Lights in the Dusk". It's a good film, but very low key and not to everyone's tastes.

I'm not quite certain how I feel about the ending. In some ways a darker ending might have worked, but I also think that might have made the film unbearable. I'm sort of glad he went with an ending that might not have been brutally realistic.

Around the World in 80 Days with Jackie Chan in it. It was ok.

Ever look through the bargain bins in stores to see what's under $5? And then pick up some weird movie that you never heard of and buy it just because? The Lost Tribe is one I found. Not as bad as what amazon people were saying, but it was fun.

mozart and the whale. i had major issues with this film but i still really liked it. donald was cute. it is the first film involving an autist where the autist is the main character and the main person controlling the story(as opposed to being a plot device) that i have watched and where they weren't infantalised, had their sexuality adressed and ended up with a love interest and in a relationship at the end of the film. i think that outweighs the negatives. plus i could relate to donald and even mozart(i do not recall her name) a little.

And it was filmed in - and was set in - Spokane, Washington, my sorta home town (I actually live in neighboring Spokane Valley).

Where Eagles Dare

Like Kelly's Heroes, This is a World War II movie with Clint Eastwood. Pretty good, but a few too many plot twists for my taste.

I thought it was a terrific movie; the three hours seemingly went by very fast.

If you noticed during the movie, Bane at times was being a bit of a wiseass, whatever he said at those points made
the audience I was with laugh hard.

Just finished watching "God Bless America" on netflix - sort of a serial killer comedy / road movie. The main character seems very Aspie-like, and Tara Lynne Barr was certainly enjoyable to watch, as well...

This sounds like an interesting movie. I just IMBD it. Bobcat Goldthwait is an interesting man.
