lol, lensflares.

They put so much into HD, 3D and CGI that is now so good that it is actually photoreallistic at last, and then what do they do?

Put in an effect which simulates the results of using a poor quality camera lens.

Last I checked I don't get lensflares when looking at things with my eyes and I sure as hell don't go round only viewing the world through a camera, so lensflare is anything but realistic.

I didn't like it. :(
They made a "hipper" version of Kirk for selling more tickets, everything was happening too fast and bad guy sucked.

If only they will have used all the CGI progress to make the explosions looking like they should in space. (A brief intense flash followed by a quickly expanding cloud of debris.)

Because of this movie I love Star Trek now. I wasn't planning to see it but on the weekend before it came out I went to see X-Men Origins Wolverine and I saw the trailer with that awesome epic music. So I decided to go see it next weekend but before that throughout the week I was watching classic Star Trek on the Sci Fi channel and despite the cheesy stuff it was really good and some of the stuff I was able to understand but there is still a lot to learn. I also watched The Next Generation, Voyager and Enterprise on Virgin 1 and I was able to get into those. Deep Space Nine came afterwards and I was able to get into that. The movie itself was awesome despite a few flaws and it is probably my favourite Trek movie next to Wrath Of Khan.

Actors were great. Visuals were breathtaking. One of the best reboots I've ever seen! 8)
