I voted for Willy Wonka.
Whilst I appreciate Tim Burton for sticking more faithfully to the original book in terms of plot, I couldn't stand Depp as Willy Wonka. To me, it felt like Depp was relying on his 'if I'm not Jack Sparrow, then I'll be Edward Scissorhands" style of acting again. And what is with Burton's obsession with making everything slightly goth-like, and dark and macabre, anyway? Roald Dahl's books had elements of dark humour, no denying that. But at the same time, it's a bit of stretch re-interpreting Quentin Blake's colourful illustration of Willy Wonka as a ... lost-looking ethereal ghost of a man... he gave my six-year-old niece the creeps...
