Sailor Moon, for one, even though that anime will have a revival in 2013. :D

Johnny Bravo, the jokes in that show were actually pretty funny and clever. One of my favorite lines is from the episode where Johnny meets Luke Perry.

Johnny Bravo- Hey! You're Fidel Castro!

Luke Perry- Ah...no. I'm Luke Perry.

Johnny Bravo- .......right, what did I say?

Digimon and Tom and Jerry. I liked the Digimon show much more than the Pokemon seasons. At least in Digimon they had a different plot each time.

My absolute childhood cartoon is the Teen Titans. Hoooollly crap, I would run to the tv at the second the show was about to start. Too bad I don't have the channel that it now plays on....

The older charatoons, Doug, Johnny Bravo, Hey Arnold and the Rugrats I watched a lot as a young kid. I watched a little of the Wild Thornberrys but it really didn't hit the top of my liking.

I didn't watch this cartoon untill earlier this year because this cartoon played in the 90's. Sadly, I wasn't a 90's kid... but I do like it a lot. Beetlejuice the cartoon.

Cartoons that I grew up with and loved along with Teen Titans was The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Edd,Ed and Eddy and a little bit of Invader Zim. However I didn't dig down and watch Invader Zim untill mid this year. I love it!

My fave cartoons are from the 80s. It seemed to be a golden age for cartoons (or at least mainstream ones shown on TV) that died in the early 90s as kids TV programmes lost much of their sparkle and real substance. Any ideas why?

I was donated a large stack of video tapes of cartoons and other kids TV programmes from the 80s by a family who were moving house when I was only about 6 or 7 years old. This included complete series of Mysterious Cities of Gold and Ulysses 31; numerous episodes of classics such as He-Man and Dungeons and Dragons; and some obscure titles like Visionaries and Telebugs. There was also the first 3 seasons of Knightmare - although its an animated gameshow rather than a cartoon.

When faced with a choice of the kids TV of my childhood or the video tapes, the video tapes won hands down. Looking back I can't help wondering if it severed a gap between myself and other classmates when I used to go home from school and watch cartoons that few of them had even heard of, let alone watched, then talked about them obsessively in the playground the next day. Was my generation cruelly denied magnificent cartoons by the powers that be or were they sadly old fashioned entertainment?

Awesome, another favourite of mine! 8)

The Dutch dub was suprisingly good. I always loved the episodes that involved F.O.W.L. and Steelbeak.
