Well, I'm married, very happily so, so I guess the best way to describe it for me is that there are certain actors, or certain roles they play, that I sometimes fear I talk about for too long to my husband.
But not Johnny Depp. He reminds me of my brother. That pretty much kills anything right there.
Now, how to keep the list short? Mine go pretty far back... like silent film.
Buster Keaton! There he is, and that's him swinging from a rope over a waterfall, to save his chick, no less! He promptly sneaks away with her and gets married. I'd always fancied the wedding night mostly involved her putting ointment on rope burn, but never mind. And he's funny, too.
Also James Stewart... another without "classic" good looks, but there was just something about him in a romance...
And before Shawn Spencer pretended to be a psychic detective, I was nuts about a show with a guy who was pretending to be an imaginary detective... here's why (well, except the baby, but this was an awesome picture of him, seriously, it's not supposed to be possible to look that good outside of an anime):
And because it's getting late but I could go on, my latest favorite, from India, Shahrukh Khan. I think he's a terrific actor, but I admit, I just like to watch him play romantic lead. Hee... I found him particularly adorable in this one, where he plays a nice guy who thinks his wife will only be happy if he makes himself more exciting.
But everyone's so danged pretty on screen... well, a lot of people. I just remembered Robert Pattinson. Blech. But lots of people are on screen, but not so much off it. It's easy to feel that tingly feeling whenever the character is awesome in a movie in some way... and then hate the actor in the next film. It's complicated. But yeah, these guys I like most times when I see them.
Alright, one more... for reasons I can't possibly understand or explain, I kinda have a thing for these two, especially the shorter one. It's fairly embarrassing, but there it is. They're Rhett and Link, Youtube internetainers:
