Billy Crystal was originally offered the chance to voice Buzz Lightyear for the movie Toy Story, but declined. After seeing the finished film, he said the decision was the biggest mistake of his career. Upon learning this, John Lasseter telephoned Billy's house to offer him the role of Mike Wazowski in Monsters, Inc. (2001). Billy's wife answered the telephone and said "John Lasseter wants to speak to you." Billy took the telephone from his wife and said "Yes".

Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee both turned away the role of Sam Loomis in Halloween. Lee later said it was the biggest mistake he had ever made in his career.

As a "thank you" for all of the free advertising the film Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle gave them, White Castle arranged to have collectible "Harold and Kumar" cups at all of their locations during the film's release. It marks the first time an R-rated comedy is advertised on fast food containers.

The original writers of Total Drama Island originally wanted to return with season two under the name, Total Drama Reloaded, (now formally known as Total Drama Revenge of the Island), however, had to push that back to season four once seasons two and three were given completely different writers, hence why Action and World Tour weren't nearly as successful. To this very date, Island and Revenge of the Island are the highest rated seasons by critics and fans, making the team over at Fresh TV realize that keeping the island setting was a much better premise than a film lot or anything else.

In Total Drama Reloaded, Scott was supposed to be paired up with Molly, (Dawn's original name before the cast's final changes), but this was scrapped for unknown reasons, along with Scott's originally backstory, which was rather tragic. These were the original designs:

Duncney breaking-up was a "network request" because writers wanted to give the viewers the idea that not all relationships last, and how they didn't want the show to become too "lovey dovey."

Homer is the only Simpsons character to have dialogue in every episode. Marge and Lisa have also appeared in every episode, but Marge did not deliver any dialogue in the episode 'Krusty Gets Kancelled', while Lisa did not deliver any dialogue in the episode 'Chief of Hearts'. Bart did not appear in the episode 'Four Great Women and a Manicure'.

The reason why the Simpsons took so long making the transition from cell animation to digital was simply because Matt Groening didn't care for it.

The first experimental stab at digital colouring was in 1995's Radioactive Man (Season 7, episode 2). The animation was produced overseas as usual (Akom Inc mostly, Rough Draft did a few by this point before Anivision came in Season 10). But the colouring was American, a first since the original Tracey Ullman shorts. USAnimation were responsible for it and wouldn't get a second stab at it until 2000's Tennis-the-Menace (Season 12, episode 12),

Again, Groening didn't care for it and the Simpsons jumped back to their old format. However, due to the antiquacy and rising costs of off-shore traditional cel-animation, The Simpsons finally made the permanent leap to digital colouring with 2008's The Great Louse Detective (Season 14, episode 6). By this time, the colouring was much more subtle and the art wouldn't be altered again until The Simpsons went HD in 2009 with Take My Life, Please (Season 20, episode 10) and the increasing use of ToonBoom by Rough Draft (and now Akom).

On January 3, 2013, it was announced that a team of Brazilian Biologists named a newly discovered type of orchid bee Euglossa bazinga. This is to honor the show The Big Bang Theory, and specifically Sheldon's catchphrase "bazinga". Executive producer Steve Molaro responded in a press release: "We are always extremely flattered when the science community embraces our show. Sheldon would be honored to know that Euglossa bazinga was inspired by him. In fact, after 'Mothra' and griffins, bees are his third-favorite flying creatures."

The 1920 film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is cited as having introduced the 'twist' ending in cinema.

The ABC sitcom Home Improvement was originally conceived under the name Hammer Time, after the show Tim would host. Prior to filming the pilot, Tim's show was re-named Tool Time to avoid confusion with M.C. Hammer. Consequently, the show was re-named Home Improvement because the creators decided against naming the show after the show-within the show, to avoid confusing viewers.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is the first film to feature Disney's new logo: a computer-generated model of the Magic Kingdom.

(Whoops, it wasn't THIS thread that I posted to-----it was "Make a Movie/TV reference"----sorry about that!)

"Cheers" has the most Emmy nominations----117----for a TV program.

In the very first shot of the opening credits of Gilligan's Island, the American flag over the harbor can be seen flying at half-mast. Reason: the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, shortly before the shot was filmed.

When the TV show ALF first aired in Germany it became an instant success. But it was unfortunate for the German city of "Alf", located at the Moselle river. The city-limits-signs, featuring the city's name, were stolen so many times, that the city council decided to buy a huge number of signs for sale.

Also, not to be confused with the short-lived MC Hammer cartoon series "Hammerman".

CBS originally wanted Orson Welles as the narrator/host of The Twilight Zone but the producers felt that he asked for too much money.

I could do this all day!
Mine will be 2013/2014 themed because I have too much trivia.

1. Frozen (2013) is the highest grossing animated movie of all time. It surpassed Toy Story 3 this year and won two academy awards (best animated picture, best song)
2. 12 Years a Slave is the first film directed by a black director to win best picture.
3. Meryl Streep has been the most nominated person for the academy awards (18 noms, 3 wins).
4. Iron Man 3 (2013) became the fifth highest grossing movie of all time until Frozen surpassed it.
5. Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) is now the 32nd highest grossing film and has only been out for 4 weeks and is, of course, the highest grossing movie of this year so far.
6. American Hustle (2013) was the only film nominated for all actor roles and received 10 noms in total, but ironically didn't win any.
7. The Wolf of Wall Street (2014) holds the record for saying the F word the most times (506 times in about 3 hours).
8. In Captain America 2 (2014) the 'to-do list' Steve hold with him varies from country to country. The US has things such as 'I Love Lucy" while Britain has "Sherlock" and S. Korea has "Oldboy"
9. In Frozen, Elsa was originally supposed to be the villain, until the producers heard "Let It Go" that is.
10. In the Lego Movie (2014), the word "Lego" is never used.

Okay, I'm done...for now.
