Oh gosh, it's exactly like I feared. They botched the dubbing. Neither Hiro nor Ando speak Japanese, so no subtitles (they probably thought the audience couldn't handle it) and Mohinder doesn't even have an accent. The whole thing sounds absolutely uninspired. It's tragic. I don't know yet if I'll keep watching.

Really. The English version isn't like that. Hiro and Ando DO speak Japanese and there are subtitles for them. And yes, Mohinder DOES have an accent.

So it looks like you Germans are unlucky (not that I'm trying to start World War III, because I'm not).

Interesting: I went back and took a peek way back to episode 1. "Mohinder's" struggling valiantly to do some sort of Indian accent. It's more or less gone by episode 3 though; he's just speaking a British variant now.

That is because India used to be a British colony!

You misunderstand. During the pilot, "Mohinder" slathers on a thick, obviously fake Indian accent. It's gone by episode 3 (didn't I just write that?).

It's a sad excuse for a plot thread in an otherwise excellent show.

Dude. Super strength.

It is one of my most hated shows along with fear factor. My five favorite shows in list one are House, Boston Legal, Freaky Links, Mythbusters, and Pushing Daisies.

It's coming up to the conclusion of series 1 over here in Britain and Hiro has just found himself.

I was also suprised of how much Linderman had to do with everything.

I like Isaac Mendiez, because I like his art work.

Also Hiro and Claire.

I'm trying to get into this program.

I know, that's why I keep watching it in English. Maybe the dubbing studio people thought we couldn't handle the subtitles ;) Can't be that hard to find a few people who speak Japanese.

Most of the Germans don't notice anyway, because they don't know the original.

Heroes is one of my favorite shows on television. I don't watch tv much anymore but I watch Heroes every week.

I find Heroes to be amazing. I'm never into shows like that, but this one has me hooked.

I live in the UK, but I'm up to the same place as the Americans (as in seen episode 8 of Series 2, hopefully watch Episode 9 tonight). I was given the chance to catch up when one of my friends let me have a DVD of the end of Series 1 (of episodes I haven't seen), and have seen series 2 over the internet.

Amazing show though. It has influences in my Media project I am doing for school, and hopefully I want to end up posting the whole of my creation on YouTube once finished :)

Actually, Hiro does speak Japanese and there is no dubbing.

Khalaris is posting from Germany, where they dub everything in German, so Hiro & Ando speak German to each other in the local version.

My mistake. That's really annoying that they dub instead of using subtitles.
