well, he did have Kamelion, but I agree the only one he ever "really" had was K9.
Yeah, that's kind of what I meant... While technically Kamelion could be considered a "companion," you can't really count him because he only managed to appear in two or three episodes. Apparently, he spent most of his time hidden away somewhere in the TARDIS... "Gosh, could he be an Aspie??"

I've just finished listening to the I, Davros series which is entirely set on Skaro - ending just before Genesis of the Daleks. It's brilliant! They worked so many continuity concepts into it, like the Dals and the Vagaas. Davros's mother is brilliant and the motivations and discoveries of Davros are all pretty good too.
Cool. Does it explain what happened to Davros which left him crippled and scarred like that?
Oh, and I've been thinking about your question "Is the Doctor 'The Other'"... I'm almost certain that he at least
used to be... that's why they didn't give "The Other" a name. But from what I understand, The Other, Rassilon, and Omega were like a triumvirate. This means that he would've known Rassilon personally. But in "The Five Doctors," it's obvious that Rassilon is more like a "legendary figure" to the Doctor (like when the 2nd Doctor has to recite the "nursery rhyme" to remember how to get into the Tower.) And at first, Rassilon didn't seem to recognize any of the Doctor's incarnations. So the Doctor, in that form, couldn't have known Rassilon personally... either that or his memory from being The Other was erased or something.
